Re: gervonta 'tank' davis v frank 'the ghost' martin june fifteenth
3-0 Benavidez. I'm calling Benavidez for the attempted left elbow follow thru :-X. Done it twice now. Benavidez savage to that body. Matter of what Gvozdyk has to keep him off with right now and early. You gotta stun David or he mauls you like a fucking grizzly

That hard volley stunned Nail at the end, hurt him up. Gvozdyk was actually having a decent round. David just grabbed that one back for me. Power from multi angles. 4-0 Benavidez.

Re: gervonta 'tank' davis v frank 'the ghost' martin june fifteenth
I don't like the loading up from David. Not much straight down the middle game here but he's starting to walk thru and disregarding return from Gvozdyk. Dude is just a brute, simple as. 5-0 Benavidez but big balls on Gvozdyk.
-
Re: gervonta 'tank' davis v frank 'the ghost' martin june fifteenth
David slipping 4 punches maintaining eye contact :tom:. Pretty shifty there. He's mugging Nail over six. I don't like the leaping hook, calm that shit down. 6-0 Red Flag Benavidez
-
Re: gervonta 'tank' davis v frank 'the ghost' martin june fifteenth
Nail with a good moment along ropes late 7th but Benavidez just letting him have it. Like Benavidez to get down the pike here. He's done that part better before. So much size and range use it. Maybe he wants to appear open to Nelo :-X;D. 7-0 David
-
Re: gervonta 'tank' davis v frank 'the ghost' martin june fifteenth
Going with power for Benavidez 8th. Nail had some spots with Benavidez not setting up and looking to bang in. Benavidez going to ropes early 9th and know what...mouth open and looks a bit um fatigued.

Re: gervonta 'tank' davis v frank 'the ghost' martin june fifteenth
i've got david ahead by four points after eight rounds giving oleksandr the seventh & eighth
-
Re: gervonta 'tank' davis v frank 'the ghost' martin june fifteenth
Gvozdyk 9th, small circles and cleaner. 8-1 Benavidez. He better have that extended gas tank David.

Power game again to Benavidez 10th 9-1.

Gvozdyk 11th there. Final round says it all for David. Well up but man gotta finish strong and volume volume! 9-2

Re: gervonta 'tank' davis v frank 'the ghost' martin june fifteenth
At the end 117-111 Benavidez maybe 116-112 territory. No doubt about the W. But I did not like the way he finished. Hopefully Nelo jumps at him
-
Re: gervonta 'tank' davis v frank 'the ghost' martin june fifteenth
twelfth to oleksandr i have david winning by two points
-
Re: gervonta 'tank' davis v frank 'the ghost' martin june fifteenth
116-112...117-111...119-109 all Benavidez. Annnd last card was BS.

Re: gervonta 'tank' davis v frank 'the ghost' martin june fifteenth
I was about to laugh Tank out of the house if he entered to Ghostbusters :-X
-
Re: gervonta 'tank' davis v frank 'the ghost' martin june fifteenth
Not a bad pace to this card. No bloviated opines in between fights or interview repeat pieces. They kept it moving fight to fight. But going on Midnight at the MGM. Not worried about scoring it just soaking it in.

Don't like the legs of Martin off that right hand at end of 2nd. He's going to bend into something nasty.

Tank walking right into his house in 4th. Daring Martin so he can counter. Movement of Martin becoming forced. Close with that left upper end of 4th :-X. Martin close to dipping right into it.

That is a big graphic they keep on screen. Has the trinket and alphabet group always had their own tag? The WbA should at least specify which belt considering they have 10 per division.

Martin is waiting to be knocked out here. You don't freeze and pose up front like that. He's thinking out loud and Tank has totally sniffed him out late 7th. Good on Martin eating that right!

I really enjoyed the fight, tank was rusty but got the job done.
-
Re: gervonta 'tank' davis v frank 'the ghost' martin june fifteenth
Martin got Ghost Busted :-X
Davis has a great ring IQ & his power is for real
Martin should hold his head high
He showed he's got skills
He can come again :)

Had a weird dream yesterday, literally Martin sparked cold flat in the 4th. Staring into the lights. Wouldn't put actual money on it though ;D
Never thought too much of Russell so far. Reminds me of an early bulling Shawn Porter. Sizable step for him here.
We were both kinda right. I'm glad Puello showcased his talent. There have been several upsets over the last few weeks, I love it, it means there's some real competition going on.

Re: gervonta 'tank' davis v frank 'the ghost' martin june fifteenth
Benavidez should stay at 175 now. He seemed a little gassed towards the end but the result never seemed in doubt. The thing is he has the potential to only get better.

Puello did look good and harnessed the full package. Love upsets in general. Tend to keep the sport cycling and honest. Nights like this one are what make me question so much talk of a league and the "only best v best" every card scramble so many have somehow come to think is normal. We always discover those under the radar gems and talents who just needed that one big stage opportunity, and boxing shifts overnight.

Re: gervonta 'tank' davis v frank 'the ghost' martin june fifteenth
We kinda have leagues already. They just have to work together more often.

Yep ideally that would be the norm of business if they did. We've had that more. But Turki idea initially sounds more like just streamlining a certain number of names ufc style and I can't see it working. Longterm at least. Especially for lesser-known talents or worthy mandatories who merit the shot. We don't have to shutter and buy out major promotions to make good or even decent fights. Another topic for another day I suppose ;D
