So u are saying if he gets a bad cut against Floyd he'll charge forward still. That would be the end of Hatton there. Floyd will be picking him off all night. And Ricky has never faced anyone nearly as skilled as Floyd.

Im not trying to irritate anyone by continuing this argument about cuts, but this is how I see the fight being finished. In a different post I stated how I would be happy if Rick can just go the distance with Floyd. I don't question Ricks heart or desire, but me personally just see him getting dominated, and see the uppercut as being decisive for Floyd. I WILL say this fight will be stopped from cuts, or at the least a face being closed up similar to Gatti after Floyd touched him. I know Rick would rather get k.o.'d than have a ref stop it, but just because Rick EXPECTS to be cut and is prepared for it doesn't mean he can stop the ref from ending the fight because of cuts, or eyes swollen shut. Once a cut is open, expect Floyd to 0 in on it like a fly on sh#t. Ricky can't outbox Floyd and that left hook to the body is really the only threat to Floyd, and fully expect Floyd and his camp to work on alot of uppercuts when Ricks inside grabbing and then trying to sneak that hook around the side. Ricks going to have to be REALLY prepared to take alot of abuse just to get an occasional punch in. Just my opinion on the fight. I'd be thrilled to see Ricky win, though I like Floyd alot too, and will gladly eat all my words should Rick pull off the upset.

No one is denying Ricky has a chance, he could win, but to say he is favourite, or knows he'll definetly win, or that cuts will be no factor is just dreamworld stuff. Anyone with bxing knowledge knows that PBF is the most likely winner whether he is a twat outside the ring or not. CC for your efforts

cuts or no cuts ricky hatton will come forward like the warrior he truly is.
what will be pbf's answer? retreat! and as he does there will be a young man from manchester ready to chop him down from every perceivable angle known to man.
the leverage hatton gets into his body punches is truly awesome....but his main attribute is tenacity, and pbf will have to do more than "pick him off" if he hopes to remain on his feet at the end of round 12, as i said earlier hatton ko5 imo.

My point is that Hatton is making a big step up in class fighting PBF, whereas PBF has been in with fighters like Hatton before(chavez, Castillo etc). Those fighters may not be as good as Hatton, but pride and tenacity, hardly ever beat pure class. If they did fighters like Gatti and Katsidis would be P4P number 1.

Thanks Eagle, much appreciated, and CC back. I'll be as nervous come fight night as anyone, and I got alot of respect for Ricky even jumping in with Floyd, big $$ or not, but I see a bad night for Rick, and a face that looks like a cheese grater ran over it at the end. Hope I'm wrong though ;D
