Made in 1948 and only in one color as the models name would suggest is Englands finest vintage motorcycle and one that held the fastest road bike ever built for more years than others at 998ccs is which bike? A good clue in there.
The world's fastest indian?
No and no , that was a movie Rhun an Indian is a bike but its American.
This particular bike in question was named after what the makers saw going across the ground when the RAF flew across their factory where they were making their first model The Rapide: pictured here..

Now put he two clues Ive given you here and in the first post and you will get the two part name of their world famous (amongst bikers)
The second model.
(You will get the model name from the clues) Then maybe the make will come easily, but we only want the model name here anyway then ill tell you the make.
Triumph
No its not a Triumph. Moses rode one of them.
Like I said if you read each clue you will get the name of the model (not the make) its only made in one color, So ask yourself which color would it have been back then. And it was named after what the makers saw going along the ground when the RAF planes flew over their factory.
Ok put them together and you got a two part name, which is the model.
The make, may then roll off your tongue once you get the famous model.
I cant make it any easier.
Oh yes I can, next clue Ill just give you the first letters of the make , then the model.
