Expendables - All star team casts, but mediocre story.
Salt - A female version of Bourne Identity. Fairly entertaining.
i agree expendables is not a great story but i dont think anyone really thought it was gonna be, bit like commando when schwarz went to that island & killed abt 500 soldiers. i waited a long time for expendables to be released & cant wait for the sequel
aint got time go to the cinema so gonna download salt as it looks pretty good

watched cemetary junction last night, had sod all to watch, but i gotta say i really enjoyed it, in my opinion ricky gervais cannot be a lead role in a movie but when he plays a smaller part he really shines. it set in 1970 & tells the story of 3 lads & a girl, its a great story with plenty of laughs. defo worth a watch
That film is a crock of shit. My wife was watching that this evening and I was almost out of my mind with despair at the awfulness of it.
What a load of crap!
Tomorrow The Incredibles is on and though not Pixars best, it is alright. I shall watch that.

re: last movie you watched (Flag Up SPOILERS)
saw The Ghost last night which was pretty good - apart from one of the most ridiculous endings in cinema history (i will say no more)
Also watched Shutter Island recently (can't remember if i mentioned it before on here). Thought it was shite and the twist I predicted after watching the trailer turned out to be correct - now i'm no genius so if you ask me that makes it a shit film. Or a daft trailer ??

I watched Shutter Island the other day, thought it was good, but not great.
I was hoping for a double twist at the end, where you think it was that all along, then it turns out that they have simply tricked him into believing the story (trying not to give spoilers here, so hope it makes sense!)
I really want to watch Expendables, good old action filled with a cast I only dreamed of as a kid

Let's see I've seen...
Expandables - Really good, enjoyed the all out action.
Takers - Good, good film. TI can't act for shit. The 30 min. chase seen on the girl beater (Chris Brown) could have been cut down to 2 min or so... The ending was ok.
Inglorious Bastards - It was ok, it had it's moments just not my cup of tea.

I watched a great film last night the killer inside me, i dont think i have ever seen a film so violent (realistic brutality). its a great story for a film but its difficult viewing sometimes. casey affleck is a natural he plays a psychotic sheriffs deputy who falls in love with a prostitute (jessica alba). dont wanna give it all away but its a bloody good film if u can stomach the brutal scenes.

Watched the last terminator, a bit late but there are a few movies I have to catch on. It was a "good" action movie but nothing that should make it through the archives of history on the top of the pile.

I'm a little disapointed in that movie. It took away the violent Terminator tradition.
They should've made that rated-R.

I was more disappointed by the fact that they kill too many terminators too easily, it removes the epic-ness of the old ones when just blasting one was the hell of an achievement and I didn't like the cheesy script where again, saving somebody in the present makes another one to exist in the future etc... And the poor excuse where we don't understand why the machines wait to kill the concerned person when normally, they would have executed him right away...a bit boring scenario if you ask me but for an action movie, it was ok.

Exactly dude. I don't know wtf happen in between part 3 and part 4. But somehow them machines went pussy imo. I don't think the last one was made by Cameron. Maybe he was too busy with Avatars.
I give the movie ** out of ****. Which is also OK.
My favorite scene was in the desert with the giant robot... motorcycles and all.

Going to go watch The Social Network tonight. Now before anyone says, meh, i hate Facebook, why would I want to watch that? It is one of the highest rated movies amongst critics in a very long time. From what I gather a lot of it is set around the litigation and personality of Mark Zuckerberg, the self-made billionaire founder of the Facebook social network. A lot of critics are calling it an early masterpiece, and liken to even such time honored movies as Citizen Cane. Others just say it's a great movie, with a great screen writer and director, great lead actor and a shoe for academy awards.
Just got back from watching the above. it didn't live up to all the hype I've read about it, but still found it very good. Especially the screen writing as the lines delivered by the Zuckerberg character were nothing short of brilliant. Recommend it.
