What I love about Floyd is he has his style and he sticks to it..he doesnt get tricked into fighting someone elses fight, he seems to always be in control of the fight.

true!
but alot of floyd haters feel hes losing those earlier rounds when hes feelin his opponents out and adjusting and figuring them out
Re: Wacko's Drunken Round by Round : Courtesy of superheavyrhun! Oscar vs Floyd.
You felt embarrassed for Oscar?! If it wasn't for Oscar pressing the action...there wouldn't have been a "fight" tonight. The only mistake Oscar made was abandoning the jab. In the rounds when he threw it...he landed it flush on Floyd and rocked his head back with it. He even was reading and blocking a lot of Floyd's punches. As an Oscar fan i can still admit that Floyd beat him...but for some of you to say Floyd put on a clinic or was embarrassed is completely ridiculous. If it's anyone you should feel bad for it should be Floyd...because despite the win...he was booed by the overwhelming majority of the crowd and the people watching at home. The casual sports fan who shelled out $60 tonight to see an exciting fight...wont be shelling out that kind of money on Floyd again.

yes i was embarassed and so was all the LATINOS in the sports bar too they forgot it was cinco de mayo tonight
Re: Wacko's Drunken Round by Round : Courtesy of superheavyrhun! Oscar vs Floyd.
You shouldn't be so easily embarrassed. I was watching the fight with at least 20 Latinos...and they where all bored to hell with Floyd.
Re: Wacko's Drunken Round by Round : Courtesy of superheavyrhun! Oscar vs Floyd.
Ok, calm down all of you. Order I say. ORDER!
I don't think that GBP was trying to rob Floyd when they were looking at the cards. They just wanted to make sure the result was correct, to avoid controversy. It was a very tight fight, and I can see how all the judges could have marked it either way. Oscar put in some good flurries, and although a few were caught on the gloves, not all of them were.
As for the earlier rounds, Oscar was doing the work and Floyd wasn't throwing enough to win the rounds. At the end of the day, you can't do a Willie Pep and win a round without throwing a punch. It was not a Floyd masterclass, and Oscar was definitely not embarrassed.
Re: Wacko's Drunken Round by Round : Courtesy of superheavyrhun! Oscar vs Floyd.
Ok, drunk as fuck and excited that the fight is over but here are my thoughts.
1) Obvious question from the fight, why in the hell did Oscar abandon the jab? That really lacked, he really needed to double and triple up on it and he didn't. Disappointing imo.
2) Did you notice Oscar's stance? Early on in the fight he had his hands inside his shoulders and he wasn't able to let the right hand go, especially in the lead but when he spread his hands a bit he was able to let his punches go a little bit more but became more of a target for the straight punches of Mayweather. Again, why the hell did he abandon the jab?
3) Mayweather DID NOT RUN. He isn't a fighter who runs. He stood his fooken ground and basically let Oscar run into his punches because, again, Oscar did not have the jab working past the 8th round. Makes no fucken sense. He was winning the last few rounds before he abondaned the jab. Why? Honestly, he was winning the rounds, he negated any offense of Mayweather, and even if he wasn't landing clean, he was still winning rounds. Then he inexplicalbly just walked forward without a serious jab from rounds 8-11. That lost him the fight.
4) Time to get drunk ahaha YEEE
Re: Wacko's Drunken Round by Round : Courtesy of superheavyrhun! Oscar vs Floyd.
assuming cotto takes care of judah, i want floyd-cotto. in my opinion, oscar does not have to come back in order to prove anything. he's always fought the best, a warrior, a great boxer, and a class act.
Re: Wacko's Drunken Round by Round : Courtesy of superheavyrhun! Oscar vs Floyd.
I did not have Floyd overwhelming oscar, I actually scored it 7-5 for Floyd, If DLH would have pressed either in the 10th or 11th I think he could have pulled it off. Should retire though. I do not think that at 34 he has all that much left in the tank.
Re: Wacko's Drunken Round by Round : Courtesy of superheavyrhun! Oscar vs Floyd.
do u guys reall know y he abonded the jab ................ beacause in the later rounds he was getting tagged over and after the jab
Re: Wacko's Drunken Round by Round : Courtesy of superheavyrhun! Oscar vs Floyd.
Upon further review and watching the fight without any all-ke-hol and or any type of substance PBF won a close fight. Those early rounds were pretty even rounds but even PBFs one shot at a time somehow managed to win him the rounds, ODLH starred at him and just came forawrd not using his jab. Oscar faded and abandoned his jab at times and then completely forgot about it in the last 3 rds. When Oscar used his jab WOW!! PBFs head was snapping back big time. I could see the look in OScars eyes and then he starts shaking his hands you know like when they are tiring out you start shaking your hands. I missed that last night I just noticed it this morning.
IMO, there is no doubt that if these 2 fighters met in their prime ODLH would win that fight. But thats worth as much as the tissue I just used in the restroom. :-X
:appl: Congrats to PBF.
I can honestly say IMO, that ODLH needs to retire now. He won't be the 1st or the last to go out with a loss it's OK. ODLH legacy is already cemented. Why fight on? For what? You don't need money, you don't need another belt. What for it's a high risk, low reward thing for him now.
IMO there is no reason for him to fight again, hes just gonna grow OLD from this fight to the next. He gonna start off good and then just fade away like he did here in this fight and then next thing you know hes gonna drop another loss and then another.....
Leave now.

Hes embarassed ccause he has no idead what hes talkin' about. Hes just talkin' out of his a$$....
This is coming from a guy who sai this was gonna be a boring fight.... ::**
Embarassed of what It's not like you geniunly like ODLH all most of all your posts lately have been anti ODLH-GBP.....
If it weren't for ODLH there would have been no fight.
Silly kid, you remind me of ~Starr~ & PGH Angel Eyes, they say one thing and then they pretend/act like they geniunly care about a fighter AFTER the fact.
Like I said you shouldn't feel embaressed for ODLH cause you don't even like the guy I bet you were laughing talkin' sh*t! as the fight went on. But at least admit it don't come in here talking' about being embaressed and rooting for him.
Look at the fight and see who was the one pushing forward who was the one engaging the action.

No heart, as if taking on the consensus P4P fighter in the world means your heart is made out of candy cane. Please! dude your not making any sense. Come at me with some facts on how you determing that he has no heart.
Cause he tired out late in the fight? Well thats from 15 yrs. of professinal fighting, with 34 yrs of age on top of it.
No skill?
Aside from JLC who else have you seen come at PBF like that, who else has snapped PBF head back like that?
No skill?
Did you miss the part where Oscar made PBF miss like 3 shots in a row by bobbing & weaving?

Re: Wacko's Drunken Round by Round : Courtesy of superheavyrhun! Oscar vs Floyd.
Yeah I really do not see a need for a rematch and I honestly don't think I could take one! Haha, but yeah Oscar came up a bit short. He frustrated the hell out of me by just walking forward, I know he said he was going to do it but it was kind of bizarre seeing it. Remember back when he used to work with the double and triple jabs? That Oscar was a great pressure fighter, this Oscar for whatever reason is not. But he showed glimpses of it with the jab. And I was surprised at the jab and how neutralizing it was to Floyd's offense. I mean he could do nothing but move backwards. Why he quit with it, it's beyond me.
But even if he fought a dumb fight at the end with the exception of the last round, no way in hell did he embarrass anybody. I'm not a DLH fan and was proud of his 12th round. He came forward, it made for an entertaining fight and it made for a fight that you have to believe will bring a lot of fans to boxing because they saw two guys utilizing the science to the best, AND it was an exciting fight. Showed you don't have to go Gatti with your hands down on the ropes to make for a fun fight. I might be a little frustrated if I was a DLH fan who knew what he had to do. But if I'm the casual fan, I saw DLH try his best to win tonight by constantly moving forward. Oscar has nothing to be ashamed of.
BTW - Mayweather's entrance was too damn perfect.
