It seemed to me the first round Kessler was just throwing jabs and thats it even though he could have countered a few times with the right, big diffrence when he started to throw the right had, I think he was just practicing the jab in the first go and thats why he looked poor. He looked much bigger than soliman.

I am all for fans but as a fan you have to understand what areas your favorite fighter has or has not been tested in. What is wrong with people in this world? Kessler did not sparr with small Sam in this video - he did sparr to a F****** diary so that the Danish 4-sport could follow him every day. Why are people so stupid not knowing anyting?........
So what? it was light sparring so we should of seen Kessler's technique at its best... what was saw was him being hit nearly at will in places and failing to use his range. I don't care who it was filmed by... fact is he was in the ring with a small guy throwing light punches at him and he couldn't use his range against him or stop his combos.

Just as someone said before kessler just stay's and do nothing when someone throw more than 2 punches's and Calzaghe would overhelam him with is flurry combos.

Kessler tries to block everything with his hands, so you time his rhythm with the openings he leaves when he;s blocking a shot and you'll beat him rather easily.

What I saw was what you see with every guy who concentrates on the jab, he had trouble with a busy guy.
Sparring is fighting but lighter. Mikkel got a little frustrated later and started hitting a little heavier, obviously in a real fight he would probably be too strong for Sam but if sam were a natural super middle then I think hed outwork Mikkel.
sam was alot smaller than Mikkel but had no difficulty landing, I think if Calzaghe got there the only thing that would make it look more competetive than Lacys effort would be Mikkels size.
Dont forget this was being filmed and Mikkel would have clearly known that so he wouldnt have wanted to look like sh*t

The main thing that I took from this is how good is Winky Wright? Mundine had a hell of a time with Soliman and he looks to puzzle Kessler with his style here.
That being said, apparently Kessler was flat out beating Sam up in their sparring before the Mundine fight and Kessler's Jab, defense and timing with his powershots looked very sound against Mundine. Mundine hit him with a few glancing right hands and had some success with the jab but Kessler was impressive in parrying a lot of the shots
