Have a Sc on me Demise for being so wrong, Marquez was fighting ten rounders until 2002, and was in his first World Title elimanater for the IBF Strap longh after Naz had anything to do with that belt, and Big H you have a CC for the fact your right Naz could only be seen as not fighting Morlaes when he was in his prime, but would of if he had the chance, if he had beaton MAB.

Face it people Naz was popular because he was a power puncher with an unorthodox style. He was flashy and flamboyant, much like a Muhamed Ali, Hector Camacho, Roy Jones Jr, etc. But when you compare his competition and skill level with those guys he just doesn't measure up.

Ummmmmm...Lyle...Naz fought after he lost to Barrera. He defeated Manuel Calvo by an ugly UD...but he did fight again & he did win.

Starr I think the Hamed clan thought they got the better (as in better suited to hameds style) when they picked Barrera, that's certainly the way it came over when EM was running the commentary on Barrera's warm up fight against salud where he tried out some of his smarter boxing, he half jokingly manny said I think we picked the wrong fighter....not the come forward walk on to punches slugger, what they actually got was someone who stood off, counter punched and boxed something Marquez is noted for.

The only thing your right about is Harrison not being camera friendly. The rest was stupidity. And that got you your second sc.

Marquez wasn't even in the picture, he had lost his 1 shot at a title and wasn't operating at World Class level during Naz' prime - he was fighting stiffs
Correct me if I'm wrong, but wasn't Marquez, Hamed's mandatory for like 2 years?
I don't remember him even being touted never mind the mandatory for 2 years (I could be wrong) He didn't win a world title until 2003 and Naz was long gone by then - look at who Marquez was fighting around this time, he would not have been a bigger draw than the likes of Johson, Kelly, Vasquez or McCullough and wouldn't have improved Naz's stock anymore.
Agreed he would've been a great fight if Naz had've been prime around 2003-2005.
Marquez was the WBO mandatory when Hamed was champion and Marquez was with forum boxing. This was before Marquez's horrible outing against Freddie Norwood. I never said Hamed ducked him or that the fight would of sold. I just answered the question that said who besides Erik Morales did Hamed not fight that was available. Marquez is still the answer.

I agree, MAB took it to Naseem but Morales and Pac wouldn't of let it go 12 rounds, no way in hell.
