Re: What was your scorecard?
taylor would of won more decisive if head butt didnt close the eye after coming on strong in the 6 and 7. tie goes to the runner
Re: What was your scorecard?
I had it personally 116-112 to Winky, that was without Jim Watt sticking his cock up Taylors arse everytime he hit Winkys gloves.
That also comes from a boxing fan who isnt the biggest fan of either, but Winky wasnt the bigger puncher but he dictated matters and landed more shots, for me he did more than enough to win the fight, what am i talking about he did win the fight!!

Over 12 rounds, I had Winky winning it, along with, it appears, the majority of viewers. The punch stats, while hardly conclusive, go some way to demonstrating how much more efficient Winky was. That, of course, is not even taking into account his superior defence, his aggression and controlling the pace of the fight.
The punch stats can be interpreted in different ways...
It shows Taylor was busier ;)
Wright without doubt was the better defensive fighter, but Taylor was more aggressive, and IMO he controlled the pace of the fight, with Wright fighting in spurts.
Taylor was the better ring general, seemingly instinctively knowing how to impress the judges, whilst Wright was the better boxer, using his experience to keep the younger fighter in check.
And on top of this, to generalize, American judges (in particular Vegas Judges) tend to reward
effective aggressiveness, and Chuck Giampa is a Vegas judge. So from that point of view it can argued Taylor fought a smart fight as well. ;)
How could Taylor dictate the pace of the fight when he was being walked down, outjabbed at will?

What was your scorecard and why?
Winky landed more, threw less, showed better defence, controlled the pace, forced the fight.
On what planet did Taylor win that fight?
Had Winky not pressed the action we would have had another Hopkins-Taylor stand-off.
Winky did not control the pace, the guy fought in spurts and only had Taylor hurt when he would throw these 10 punch flurries on the ropes. Even when on the ropes, Taylor fought his way out.
And FYI i never said that Taylor won the fight, i had it a draw

No, they didn't. Had the crowd not ooh'd and ahh'd everytime Taylor banged the gloves Wright would have gotten that decision.
Watch the fight and not just what you want to see. Very few got through the guard and a handful got through without at least a partial block.
I disagree, even if it was a partial block alot of those right hands got through...
Watch the fight carefully, it was clear alot of Taylor's right hands shafted through the middle.

I agree, there were a lot of hard shots that got right through the middle of Winky's gloves. Just because Winky is shaking his head no, doesn't mean that he's got getting hit. JT backed Winky a lot during that match.

That was fatigue from forcing the action. Winky was the aggressor. How do you manage to deduce that fatigue = punches going through the guard?
Are you joking?
Taylor outworked Winky, simple as..
Winky had trouble with Taylor's power, when a fighter blocks or take's blows, that also causes fatigue to the fighter. Along with the solid bodyshots that Taylor landed and the sheer aggression that Winky had to withstand, ofcourse Winky was going to get tired.
Winky was the agressor, but even on the ropes Winky fought in spurts...and Taylor flurried back.

I thought the exact same,
Winky didnt do enough to take the belts
Didn't do enough? You mean you thought Taylor won or you thought it was a draw?
I hope you're not another one who believes you have to put a champion in the grave to win the belt.
Winning equates to enough to win the title, by 1 point or 10 points, a win is enough.
I had it a draw...
There were alot of close rounds, and if you're one of those old time judges who thinks that the champion should get the benefit of the doubt when it comes to scoring close rounds, Taylor would of won.
