Re: Not only who, but more importantly... WHERE is Hatton's next fight going to be?
OK, so Hatton v Collazo was very close, and I only has him up by virtue of the 10-8 first round but in my honest opinion he JUST did enough.
Fact is his team got it all wrong that night, but I think after hardly losing a round in his career he could be afforded one mediocre night!!
What I mean by him getting it wrong is that they tried to increase his weight too quickly and on fight night he was a MIDDLEWEIGHT!! 160 lbs. Now think about some of Hatton's strengths!! Mobility, speed , stamina contant pressure - possible could've been affected by being so heavy don't you think. ???
This aint an excuse its his team's own fault - but it is a fact - lets see him back down at 140 as his old self and see what you doubters have to say!!

Rematching Collazo wont cut it with HBO, neither will Urkal hopefully. Im sure he will fight in the States, who he fights is a different matter. We are all too impatiant and should wait for the announcement to come, he isnt fighting until December so as long as he knows by September that will leave enough PROPER preperation time.
He's never been in a war like Gatti, Castillo, Coralles or even Cotto. Apart from the Collazo fight when he has ever been really hurt? Coralles gets fucked up and hospitalised at least once, usually twice a year, Gatti also.
Don't get me wrong I'm a Hatton fan, but I'm disappointed in him not giving Collazo a chance to avenge what the majority thought was an unfair decision.
If it was Gatti or Coralles, then you just know their pride would force a rematch. Tell me if I'm wrong?

its actually better if u dont get in loads of wars ;D
Re: Not only who, but more importantly... WHERE is Hatton's next fight going to be?

I think Hatton has had more stitches than Gatti, Corrales and Castillo put together.

??? Bullshit-o-meter is going off the scale.
I'm not lying. I remember reading an interview or an article on the front page of this very site that said he is going to fight 3 times in the U.S. and I'm pretty sure he said Boston. That was part of his big American camaign. It was being talked about a lot on these boards. Not going to expend the effort to find a link from so far back right now but I'm 100% positive that was the plan going into the Collazo fight. Remember he said he wanted 3 fights before he fought Floyd? He said part of the reason was to get accustomed to America. Maybe his intentions have changed since but I know this was the case pre-Collazo.
And the BBC link says that the fight would be in America.
Re: Not only who, but more importantly... WHERE is Hatton's next fight going to be?
I say let him and Mayweather go at it so it can silence everyone once & for all! PBF one-sided fight
Re: Not only who, but more importantly... WHERE is Hatton's next fight going to be?
I expect Ricks next fight to be at 140lbs and dont think it will be in the UK ;)

That's where you're wrong, COG. After watching the Hatton-Collazo fight, I salivate at the thought of a match between Hatton and Cotto. Of course, it'd be in a neutral place like Las Vegas, of course.
Oh.... and it's Mr. Boricua to you, COG-boy.

See, that's what separates the true boxing fans from the blind ones. Even some of Hatton's biggest fans on this site admit that Hatton may have gotten away with one against Collazo.

Yes, but back to the original point. WHERE will it be? In England? Where Hatton was allowed to maul and brawl his way to victory over Tszyu, who at his peak had twice the boxing tools Hatton will ever have?
Or... in the States? Where the creeping shadow of doubt that surfaced after his tightrope act against Collazo needs to be either dispelled or ratified? I, for one, would rather see what Ricky's got in the States, against credible opposition.
Re: Not only who, but more importantly... WHERE is Hatton's next fight going to
His next fight will probably be in the states, doesn't really matter to me, as long as he fights a worthy opponent

It won't be a worthy opponent. I reckon he will try and get Urango to pick up another belt.
