I think you can still make a name in terms of bare recognition, but not in terms of credit. Like, "oh yeah, Hatton, that's the guy that beat up on poor should-have-been-retired Gatti, yeah, I've heard of him", but not "Oh yeah, Hatton, he's the bad motherfucker that ended Thunder Gatti's career--he's now a force to be reckoned with at welter."

Agreed...but what stands out the most as a malfunction in those statements is what I highlighted & then rephrased for you in my drunken Monday night stupor: "Hatton, he's kind of a bad motherfucker but Mayweather is the one that actually ended Gatti's career, then Baldomir took some left overs, & then Hatton fought what was left of the left overs of Gatti & that was after it was proven that Hatton himself was about as "Thunderous" as Gatti was at welter & so...that proves that neither of them were a force to be reckoned with at welter! Alright, Im gonna play the role of Devil's Advocate here cause I havent seen anyone say this: KICK ASS AWESOME FOR GATTI!

I was shocked when I first saw the title Gatti was Hatton, but now it seems like for a guy like Gatti that's the only thing he would do: After he loses two fights recent fights via KO and throw in the towel; he doesnt shy away (AND HE COULD, Gatti could easily fight some chump and cash in b/c people love him) but calls out a fighter in Hatton who would make for a Brutal war!

And you know Gatti is gonna bring all the goods for one final fight...it will take a sledgehammer to put him down. I know Arturo has enough for a grand-total-war Finale and though I don't see him beating Hatton, I see for a hell of a fight with fireworks coming from both sides.

Gatti would beat Hatton. I seriously doubt Hatton would stand up to the shots Baldomir took

Im not going to lie...I'd be really pumped if I saw Gatti vs Hatton happen. It could also be VERY beneficial for Hatton to take this fight. I think Hatton knows he can win and a fight with Gatti would get Hatton's name out there better than any other offer he has at this point in time. I couldnt imagine him getting a better pay day anywhere else either. If he wants big name recognition in the states; the way to get it is to fight Gatti. It would be an all out offensive night with each fighter having to take big shots and throw a lot of them!

I know there are some gatti haters here, but I personally think he is amazing. I dont know if it's just heart gatti has...I think he's also crazy! In a good way though, like he gets and that ring and acts like it's life and death and hes not leaving unless you make him leave. I think Hatton would be taken aback by Gattis power and though Hatton would be able to outwork gatti and probably get a TKO in the later rounds.

This fight would be ALL action!

I think Gatti would knock Hatton out. Don't tell me that about Gatti couldn't stop Baldomir, Hatton doesn't take a punch better then Baldomir!!!

The problem with Gatti is them big ass gloves he been wearing, Arturo isn’t going to KO anyone with them safety gloves on ! IMO. Gatti needs (Reyes gloves) or really any Mexican style glove to unleash his power. Gatti can worry about hands after the fight .In the mean time he need a little shot of Novocain in-between the knuckles, and let em punches rip baby ! just like pro football .

Hatton took probably the hardest shots Kostya could throw & Kostya threw it all.

No way that Baldo hits harder than Kostya.

Baldo hit Judah with everything he had & Judah stood up to it...Kostya cracked Judah for 2 rounds & nearly knocked Judah's brains onto Nady's chest...my point is...Gatti couldn't stand up to it for 9-10 rounds & Hatton has never been knocked out...hardly down...

Hatton would most likely batter what's left of Gatti's brains into a nice Betty Crocker like cake mix & would easily take Baldo's shots...IWHO.

youre forgetting that both baldomir and especially mayweather would whip hatton (baldomir is just too big, and hattons not on mayweathers level)

i would like to see this fight happen, but i see this fight ending by hatton knocking out, and probably retiring gatti inside of 10 rounds in an incredibly entertaining fight
