But bro,Castilllo cuts ALOT too! Someone tell me because I don't know but haven't threee of 4 of his losses been on cuts? Castillo cuts easily Ice. It's going to be a bloodbath! Will it be better than JLC Chico? I don't think so although it will be close.

By typical JLC fashion get inside attach his head to Ricky's and keep swingin. Someone is going to get stopped on cuts or get ktfo
I don't see any way it goes the distance. I think JLC will just be the tougher man at this fight, as he will prolly come-in fight night at 157 lbs.
If Hatton wins it wouldn't shock me, he is definately the favorite. I just think JLCs power will rattle Hatton at this weight.
But for those of you that like slugfests this is gonna be as good as it gets at 140 in 2007 FOTY potential IMO.

Totally agree, great reasoning, now way this is going the distance!!! I don't think JLC will be able to take Hatton's absolutely devestating body attack. Fight of the year for sure though, their styles compliment each others. How much does Hatton come in at fight night?

Castillo might well come in as the bigger man, but Castillo has never faced a man as strong as Hatton who goes not stop for twelve rounds that will be his downfall, Collazo commented on how strong Hatton is, and that was quite a bad perfromance, i just think Castillo has never faced a man as strong and persistent as Hatton.

Juan Lazcano doesn't hit as hard as Hatton but has good power. His style of fighting is somewhat similar, (key word being somewhat) similar to Hatton's. Lazcano has also always been a Junior Welterweight fighting at Lightweight. Castillo tortured him for 12 rounds. The question you should be asking is how will Hatton deal with somebody like Castillo. A fighter who doesn't take backward steps, has a good body attack and can fight just as dirty as Hatton when he has too?

To be honest, I can see a 2 ways Castillo could win, although they are unlikely they have worked before. 1. is to box smart, its deceptive how cute he is on the inside, he's hard to hit for his style. 2. Is Hatton gets careless, and takes a big shot. I doubt either will happen, but its not like its impossible. I think 8/11 Hatton, evns Castillo on the outcomes, which was a good call by whoever said it first.

Juan Lazcano lmao!!! That was a terrible comparision Hatton would maul him to a pulp, the guy got a gift decision last time out, Hatton is in a different league to Lazcano, Hatton is relentless, You say how will Hatton deal with Castillo?? Well for me Hatton will be more comfortable against someone who is there in front of him for 12 rounds, this style is something that Hatton will be totally at home with.
Re: Castillo vs. Hatton who wins?
I have to agree, someone standing in front of Hatton at 140 and winning? I don't see it happening although again,if I could choose anyone to try,it would be the monster Castillo! I just think Ricky edges him out in all the areas in which they are similar...speed,pressure,body shots etc etc etc

That was last time out. When Castillo beat Lazcano he was at top of his game and on a 20 fight winning streak. Castillo ruined him. And how is Hatton going to be comfortable with some thing he's never experience before? Nobody has ever attack Hatton's body before. How will he react to Castillo's hooks to the body, which is not exactly rock solid? How will Hatton react when he hits Castillo flush over and over but Castillo still won't back up? What happens when Castillo starts to back up Hatton? Can Hatton fight going backwards?

Well the same question has to asked about Castillo? How is he on the back foot??? Hatton throws more leather than Castillo and physically imo is stronger, Hatton will be the one dictating what happens imo, what will Castillo do??

The following questions are valid of BOTH fighters and anyone that doesn't agree is a nuthugger
1) can you handle the pressure?
2) will you get stopped on cuts?
3) can you survive your first knockdown?
4) if you win are you going to rematch (Corrales / Collazo) at a higher weight?

You can't compare KT with Castillo, KT is a smooth, methodical puncher, every shot is aimed
Castillo on the other hand will just swing at your head until one of you drops.

Hatton is the stronger, harder fighter but he fought like a novice in his last fight. He was slow and quite shit compared to his usual standards.
Collazo was very impressive and I loved his will to fight. He has my respect after the Hatton fight at 147.
At 140? You cant beat Hatton unless your willing to go through fucking hell to get there. Castillo has a chance of course, but he wont knock Hatton out. Who has ever hit harder than KT at 140?
