Re: Films where it's ok for a bloke to cry ?
I got to admit "I Am Sam" got me. When he understood that he couldn't take Lucy home....
"Why can't Lucy come home with me????"
That was tough. But it is also one of the funniest shows too so I have seen it about a million times. I like the scene when they are setting up the answering machine.
"It's not used, it's preowned"
"This is an outgoing message so I think you should sound more outgoing."
Braveheart, Gladiator, the Rocky movies and all the other ones got me choked up a little, but the only one since I was an adult that the actual tears came was I Am Sam.

on a serious note..
Schindler's List
I remember when the show was over, everyone was still sitting in there chairs trying to pull themselves together I put me choppers on the moment that show was over
I think the only films where it is at all acceptable for a man to cry are when the film is a true story.
If you cried during Schindlers List then credit to you, it shows you can empathise with the sufferings of others, if you cry during a freaking fictional romance film (Notebook) then sorry but you are just gay.
The only two films that as an adult have made me teary eyed are
The Pianist, brilliant but utterlly harrowing and heartbreaking film, especially the bit at the end where the Russian soldiers start shooting at him because he's wearing a German uniform. Was one of the best and most heartbreaking films ever made imo.
The other film was the Elephant Man which is just a 2 hour long cry fest throughout. The bit where he's in the toilets at the train station after those kunts have pulled the bag off his head and everyone is following and gawping at him.
'I am not an animal! I am not an animal! I am a human being! I am a man!' is still the most heartrending words I've ever heard uttered on film, even though it's such an easy sketch to take the piss out of.
the elephant man ..Dude that movie got my piss hot , when they were fucking with him and making fun of him . I remeber being pissed off more then sad. I always hate people that make fun of others based off of looks and shit like that. Don't think the average fuck relises the harm they do to someone that has to live with a deformity like that. the wounds are deep and life long.
I once stomped some asses at a movie house.. the blokes in front of me were making fun of the ticket usher, she was mentally challenged. I couldn’t turn off the jets and my fists started flying. I was a arrested and had to pay some of their medical bills, All in all it was fucking worth it, Id do it again in a heart beat. The problem was I am boxer, so they were abit stiff on the sentencing . The Pussies !

Yeah - Elephant Man was a choker.
So was Born Free if anyone remembers that?
I always cry during the anthem at wales rubgy matches, when I am in the stadium anyway. Every fucking time.
