Hillarious. You clearly did not see the fight...nor do you take in the fact that John aint done a single thing else to warrant him being on the list...hence the reason nobody voted for the man.
Why so angry at me? You asked for suggestions and you got those....!!!!
Chris John smashed Marquez no matter what you said - and how the hell could you rate Marquez higher than John? Oh, I forgot....
it is just because he is an American....just like Lacy beat Tsypko....
If you ask for suggestions - then do not be a child when you get those....!!!!
Juan Manuel Marquez is Mexican.
Well uh, he is North American
what i got from his post was he was talking about countries

Who knows...doesn't matter either way...because if he saw the fight...he'd know that Chris John did not smash Marquez...that was a robbery...he should watch the fight instead of believing what he reads.
Plain & simple everyone knows that Marquez is highly rated & that he lost a controversial decision to the hometown hero.
John's can box...but he has never fought anyone worth mentioning outside of Marquez & Gainer & he's fought on his home turf of Indonesia in every fight but maybe 2 or 3 fights.
Marquez got hood-winked. Sorry...but that's the way it is.

Yeah I was just joking. There is alot of broad statements about people from one country thinking one way or boxers from one country being better than boxers from another country on this site lately, its getting kind of rediculous

Agreed. I get overly aggrevated with that nationality bullshit in boxing.
Maybe it's just me...but I don't care where the hell a man comes from, nor the color of his skin, nor his religious beliefs...if he can fight & he's a fair sport...he's got my vote & respect.
Re: **L@@K!!!** TIME TO FINISH THE P4P LIST FOR 2007!!!**L@@K!!!**POST!!!
i agree with both of you.

You definently need to watch it. See if you think that Marquez deserved to lose the points & then see if you believe he lost that fight...I assure you...you won't.
It's a good fight...just a shitty end result.
Again...John can box...but he didn't beat Marquez.
Re: **L@@K!!!** TIME TO FINISH THE P4P LIST FOR 2007!!!**L@@K!!!**POST!!!
Ok my top 10 as follows.
1. Mayweather, stands apart from the rest imo, unbeaten, champion at 4 different weights, nobody comes close
2. Pacquiao. 2006 was the year of the Pac, in dethroning Morales he's become the people's champion. He'll probably take the official crown from Barrera in 2007/
3. Winky, Proved he could hold his own with a much bigger and younger undisputed middleweight champ. Arguably the best middleweight out there.
4. B Hop, he's coming back it seems. There's few better in the world than him, even at 42
5. Barrera, One of the best old men in boxing, a warhorse who has fought everybody and beaten nearly all of them. How much longer can he go on though?
6. Calzaghe, His choice of opponents havn't impressed me lately but I'm still convinced he'd beat Hopkins, school Taylor and be too slick for Kessler
7. Taylor, he's not impressed in his past 4 bouts but I didn't see him losing any although he scraped a draw against Winky. Needs a dominant performance in 2007.
8. R Marquez. To be honest not seen a lot of him, but people rate him so I'll place him here.
9. Castillo, He's faced everybody and is as solid as they come, looking forward to seeing him at this new weight in 2007
10. Hatton, it's close between him and Cotto. I think Cotto would beat him but right now Hatton has achieved more, but only just. Needs a big win in 2007 to get his bandwagon going on.
Just missed out, Cotto, the biggest new talent around. Look for him to become a star in 2007.
J M Marquez, his new crowd pleasing style will hopefully get him a deserved shot at Barrera or a remacth with Pacman.
James Toney, my favourite fighter. Conditioning sucks but at 39 yrs old this former middleweight has proven he can hang with the biggest of the big men.

- so Marquez is in your middle of p4p doing nothing in 2006 other than clearly loose to the only quality fighter he fought in 06, Chris John - Oh, so I guess that your former p4p no1 Lacy should also be in your top 3 - he nearly defeated Calzaghe and clearly won against Tsypko. :lickish:
Happy New Year :)
Re: **L@@K!!!** TIME TO FINISH THE P4P LIST FOR 2007!!!**L@@K!!!**POST!!!
Here is my list..Even though the tope 3 are taken I am going to add who I picked.....
1. Winky Wright--Hehas not lost since 99'..Since then his opp has an impressive 388-42 win loss record...He has a title reign in there...Draw with Taylor (a youger bigger fighter who had momentum on his side) Has the best defense in the game...one of the top 10 best defensive fighters in history...Truth is no one beats Wright but Wright!!!...If he didn't take the 12th rd off he would be MW Champion right now
2. Manny Pacquiao-He has beaten Morales twice ( though Morales is not the Morales of old..Raheem showed us that)...KO's Barerra a while back and pretty much dominates most of his opp....This guy is not the best boxer in the game but his wins over the last few years show you don't have to be. He fights the best he can and wins...Thats what P4P fighters do
3.Floyd Mayweather- I put him here only because he is unbeaten...Impressive when he wins yes but IMO a lot of thought goes into his opp...and he avoids the most dangerous fighters out there. I think he can beat the guys he avoids but still the fact he chooses the easist of the available puts a bad taste in my mouth
4.Bernard Hopkins-Still not sure if he is staying or going but?...The guy is an all time great...10+ years as MW champ beat the best they could offer up. Yes he lost 2 in a row to Taylor but was not dominated. Both were close fights. Problem is Taylor has just a little more in the tank pace wise. But then he comes back to Dominate Tarver two divisions higher!!!....Hopkins was on top too long for him to be disrespected and put any lower than 4th just because he has the Losses to Taylor. The Tarver fight showed he is still to be considered one of the best
5.Pongsaklek WonJongkam--We tend to forget about the little guys who we don't see often but anyone who knows anything about him knows he deserves a spot here. He is a hell of a fighter who hasn't lost in over 50 fights!!! Not all his opp is top tier but in the lower divisions records can fool you...Pong has went the other route..instead of one or two big fights to sit on and admire he just gets rid of everyone!!!!...Forget that garbage about Margarito being avoided....NO ONE!!!! under 122lbs wants a piece of this guy..Including my favorite Arce
6.Miguel Cotto-His jaw is in question that much is for sure but not only is he undefeated and Strong as an OX!!! but he is improving!!! plus he beat anyone put in front of him so far...Some good some bad but he has passed the test. He has worked hard and it has paid off. He is one of the few fighting champions in the sport. Miguel has a big future and he deserves a spot here
7.Jermain Taylor-Beat Hopkins twice and drew with Wright. but IMO he lacks that superstar potential...It seems as though he goes out to do just enough to win and nothing more!!!..If it were not for the two wins over Hopkins he would not even be on my list
8.Ivan Calderon-He is the best micro mini fighter in the world and his flawless record proves it!!!...He is no KO puncher but a damn good boxer!!!....if he was bigger he would be on everyones list...lack of exposure keeps him off of it
9.Marco Antonio Barrera- I fear the legend is at an end of his career. A few more fights is all that he has left but other than his loss to Pacquiao in 2003 and Morales in 2000 Marco has been the man under 135...until he is truly beaten by a low caliber fighter he will remain in the top 10
10-Jorge Arce-It is iffy weather or not he belongs in the top 10 P4P but I think he deserves it...last 8 wins by stoppage and a 25 in a row win streak,,,He is criticized about not fighting Darchinyan or Marquez but the same could be said about them...IMO why should Arce be the one to move up or down in weight?...He is the man to beat not them...though some would say different but I say who is the draw???....If Joe C can get away with fighting Manfredo and remain in most top 10 then a guy like Arce who gives us all out war everytime deserves the honor even more

You apparently don't know how to score fights...or maybe you haven't even seen the fight...or maybe you just go by what you read...or maybe your'e just royally off in the head...either way nobody takes anything you say seriously...especially me...but you do make me laugh.
Lacy was never my former P4P #1 & you are a moron.
Again...you must not be able to read...either that...or you have some royal eye issues.
I've specifially pointed out to you that Lacy is now ruined by Calzaghe...but keep on running your mouth & proving your own ignorance...because you are proving to be just that...rather ignorant.
