A fighter have plenty of time for repair work after the match ! can't be worried about your hand hurting, or your lips and gums hurting when you need to be focusing on winning the match, once its broke , its broke, o well keep on keein on as they say ! I have had my hand swell so bad they have to cut the gloves off just like a cast not just the lace but the glove itself. the Novocain injections in between the knuckle no big deal.. just a tad bit. without it and you bust your hand you end up like Clottey, against Margarito where you can't throw a punch because it hurts you more to land it, then it does for your opponent to eat it .
