You CANNOT be serious with this.
Please tell us you're joking.
Nah man i'm serious...listen in every post fight interview floyd had prior to beating baldomir he's never mentioned fighting shane...it wasn't until shane ko'ed vargas and beat collazo that floyd decided to even mention shane even then it was shane that called him out first...and to dismiss him (shane) as desperate is weird..esp considering the the logic by which he chooses who is worthy to fight him...
he chose not to fight margarito and hatton because they didn't meet the "two-named fighters criteria" he fought baldomir after he beat judah and gatti..there's is no logical explanation to pick oscar over shane other than money and the little piece of belt that he won..
as far as his career in history to real boxing enthusiast a victory over shane mosely is a much better accomplishment than one over oscar whom has never beaten a prime A-rated fighter....he has consciously ducked shane mosely because he knows enough about boxing to know that shane is too strong for him couple that with shane's work rate and he beats floyd easily...
You've got it twisted. When Shane first came back down to 147, Floyd was there, but Shane said he "wasn't ready" for a Mayweather fight--he needed a tuneup before taking on anyone good. So he fought Collazo. By that time, Floyd was already working on getting a fight against Oscar. Shane NEVER said that he wanted to get to Floyd first. To the contrary, what he consistently said is that he wanted to fight Mayweather at 147 AFTER Floyd fought Oscar. So when exactly has Floyd had the opportunity to "duck" Shane Mosley. Is it because he didn't sign a contract with him sometime in the past 2 1/2 days?

well maybe ducking wasn't the right word...he never included shane on the list of fighters to beat for him..and yeah mosely wanted to get a tune up since he'd been at 154 for a while and maybe he needed that to remember how much faster the welterweight div is... either way there's no real way to justify picking oscar over mosley other than money..and let floyd tell it he didn't need oscar to make money because he's been rich for a long time

as a natural 140 pounder one punch knocking out a big guy like vargas..plus shane's speed would make any small fighter reconsider..even floyd....trust me not on his best day with his fastest, hardest, blind shot would floyd kayo vargas with one punch

I thought this part was obvious: no matter what Floyd said, Oscar wanted the Floyd fight, so his employee Shane was not going to get it. That's why Shane kept saying "this is a great fight . . . I think Oscar will win . . . but after he beats Mayweather, then it's my turn." DLH calls the shots--not Floyd or Shane.

;D ;D ;D Exactly, perhaps you don't know the difference between a knockdown and a knockout:
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=pr7guRjKelU
Exactly how is getting up after being decked and continuing, THEN getting stopped by a barrage of punches and suffering a TKO a one punch knockout ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D
Re: Who should PBF fight next? Fighters that you think can beat PBF....
I voted Mosely. Simply because I want to see 147 unified, and with Top Rank having a semi-tourney(Cotto,Judah,Tony,Williams), the winner should fight the Mosely-Mayweather winner. If Mosely fights Oscar first, and Hatton wins against JLC, then Floyd should try to lure Hatton back to 147. Or, If Cory Spinks stops the world in its rotation, and beats Taylor(ha ha ha, can't believe I just wrote that), then Floyd should go after him.
Mosely is my first choice, simply because Bob Arum isn't going to break his deal, and Floyd wouldn't fight one of his fighters for at least a year. I want to see Floyd back in action within 6-8 months. Which is probably wishful thinking.

I seriously doubt knocking out Fernando Vargas is enough to warrant fear in anyone's heart ::**
as a natural 140 pounder one punch knocking out a big guy like vargas..plus shane's speed would make any small fighter reconsider..even floyd....trust me not on his best day with his fastest, hardest, blind shot would floyd kayo vargas with one punch
My friend, Wilfredo Rivera practically one punch knocked out Fernando Vargas for Christ's sake. Putting a dent in that ruined fighter is far from the Holy Grail of boxing ;D
a knockdown isn't a KO..and didn't vargas stop him in 7? not to mention rivera is much bigger than shane...
;D ;D ;D Exactly, perhaps you don't know the difference between a knockdown and a knockout:

Exactly how is getting up after being decked and continuing, THEN getting stopped by a barrage of punches and suffering a TKO a one punch knockout ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D

Re: Who should PBF fight next? Fighters that you think can beat PBF....
okay wow..he managed to get up for a few seconds...but face it that fight was over after that punch that one punch ended the night....and even still on floyd best night, with his best and hardest punch even with vargas not seeing it couldn't put vargas down like that....that punch ended the night the rest was all a blurred memory
Re: Who should PBF fight next? Fighters that you think can beat PBF....
After Margarito's last fight and Floyd's last fight, it does not appear that ANYONE thinks Margarito can beat Floyd anymore. He's too easy to hit and Floyd's too fast. Mosley looks to be the only man left to put an "L" on Floyd's record, funny how a year can change everything. :o

Floyd wouldn't even stop Oscar if he were a stop sign!

pac-man at 135 itll never happen now but if it did id pick pac to win it
oscar was troubling floyd with flurries but he could only throw them when floyd was on the ropes i think manny could throw them in the centre of the ring too and be successful i think his southpaw stance would also give floyd the same problems judah did over the first 6 rounds but throughout the fight
