No..... there should be names of other countries, some with equal or greater boxing histories than either the U.S. or Great Britain.
:)
but there aren't any other countries that have equal or greater history ???
Slightly narrowminded of you, but that's ok. There ARE other countries out there with rich boxing histories, you know. But if you're a knowledgeable boxing fan, you already know that.
;)
Tito your a great poster ( I have read your post) but this is not that kind of thread. It was not that kind of thread. Great Britian, Austrialia, Canada, USA, NZ our English speaking countries. We speak English on our thread, alot of times the British get pissed at the American's because they feel disrespected (rightfully so) because we believe boxing is all American. I was trying to prove that it is not. Even though the Cuban's, rican's, dominacans, and other countries have great boxing the majority of the people on this site are British or American. I meant no disrespect to any other country.

i always compare things from the heavyweight division and then on down and i'd have to add that when it comes to the lower weights other countries do have some great fighters that have come from them.

Gotcha, brazil..... CC.
I see what you mean. And you're right... the majority of posters on the forum ARE from either the U.S. or England. It would be interesting to know exactly what the international breakdown is. I found it fascinating the other day to learn there was someone from Belgium, of all places.

Massachusetts, NEW England, USA. We were the guys who started all that nasty stuff back in 1776. All kidding aside, the UK is first on my list of places I want to visit. Sounds like a great place.

Sorry bro...but i've got to pick you up on that one. There are a number of posters from Wales, Scotland and Ireland, and indeed, if you count up the population to poster ratio, there are more from the Celtic nations that make up the rest of the UK, than from England.
I'm Welsh, and ever so vociferously proud. I accept being a part of the UK, but there is more to the UK than England. Whatever the English say..... And if you mention the words "inferiority complex".... :p

Do any of those countries have an equal amount of history in boxing as the US and UK? I said there should be a third option for someone to explain.
edit: You're telling me that just producing tua is on the same level as producing lennox lewis or muhammad ali (among many others)?

no i saying all countries love boxing its a global sport and lots of countries have produced good talent but the usa is the king and australia is probably third .
USA
UK
AUS.......and we only been here for 200 years compared to england who have a millinium head start.but thats not the point.whats the point of starting a thread with 2 countries on the table.why dont you ask where is everyone from. and since u brought it up, yes aus is about par with u pommies on the boxing ladder and u get smashed by us at every other sport.
australia is the greatest sporting nation on the planet,we should have been an option for this threade. i dont have the shiots im just replying to ur post....peace
Re: Great Britian or USA. Where do you live, please vote. I need to know.
When petty arguements like this break out it makes fans from other countries feel under appreciated and they look for other sports to be into. It only hurts the sport when people from other countries fight on who has the best fighters, boxing is already dying, with arguments like this it will die even faster.
