Thats if his hands hold up :-\
He's gonna need more than that. J.T. can box and he can hit. I think it will be a real competitive fight. May not happen now though since Calzaghe probably wont want to fight outside Wales.
I still gotta say look at the Ouma fight & the Wright fight.
Calzaghe is all offense. I just don't see Taylor being able to get his shots off while Calzaghe bombs him with his.

Which cards? I thought Calzaghe was the Super Middleweight champion of the world and longest reigning champion in the World of boxing :-\
Anyway, If Calzaghe's hands aint 100% he would lose, if they are 100% he will take Taylor to pieces ;)
H sometimes its hard to tell what the hell Joe and his team are trying to do? But outside of Kessler, who the Hell really needs Calzaghe and his 20 defences? I mean Taylor has plenty of options he can go with
It's Joe who is getting long in the tooth at the tail end of his career, still looking to make a splash
He is definitely one of the m :-*ost talked about and debated fighters in the world right now - so somebody cares about him
I wasnt being rude about him, but the talk he gets is 95% negative about the groanings over level of comp, always seems to be controversy at the bargaining table(probably all Warrens fault).. Its time to brace for the chance of him being a Sven Ottke, minus a few BS desicions, but I dont think Joe will leave a diamond studded legacy, I think he has a shot of being remembered like a Sven Ottke.... Quickly Forgotten and always scrutinized..... Its a shame since Joe is terrificly gifted ;)
Pretty mcuh agree with that mate ;)

I tend to agree, but for Taylor his effective offense is predicated on that beautiful jackhammer jab, he rarely uses anymore.... If he can keep Joe out of rythm by rammng that Jab in face and controlling distance he will keep Joe off balance, if not it will be the F5 Calzaghe tornado touching down and swallowing up Jermain Taylor ;)
CAN SOMEONE TELL ME WHY JERMAIN DOSENT THROW HIS DYNAMITE JAB THAT MUCH THESE DAYS???????
Re: TAYLOR WON'T FIGHT CALZAGHE IN WALES
If Calzaghe would put his foot down with Warren & make this Taylor match happen...the future & his legacy could be bright.
Look at it like this...if Calzaghe dismantles Taylor & Hopkins dismantles Wright then Calzaghe could move up to one of his richest & most famous paydays by making the jump to 175lbs & finally FINALLY getting his super fight with Hopkins.
Shitload of money to be made their & I am sure that HBO would pay GBP & Warren well to come to an amicable agreement.
Lord knows I'd love to see it play out that way.
Re: TAYLOR WON'T FIGHT CALZAGHE IN WALES
Maybe Warren holds him back or maybe Calzaghe doens't believe in himself as much as we believe in him. Maybe he has been really unlucky. Maybe he needs to ditch Warren. Whatever it is that prevents him from fighting the very best needs sorting because a fit Calzaghe can beat anybody from super middle to light heavy IMO.

Thank you old boy.
I really wish Calzaghe could be let of his leash because he has the talent to create a fabulous legacy. I see his style giving Hopkins, Tarver, Taylor and Kessler, big big problems.

You don't like JC coz he slated other fighters, but 2 fights above you have criticized people for having a go at PBF ;D
It was the way he did it he was their as an analyst
Re: TAYLOR WON'T FIGHT CALZAGHE IN WALES
Calzaghe will never fight out of U.K or Wales. They should fight in Atlantic city or Las vegas like everything else. Why is Joe Calzaghe so affriad to fly.

warren is protecting calzaghe the same way he was protecting hatton. he wouldnt let ricky fight in the states so hatton took the initative and dropped warren so he could get the big $$$ fights in america.
calzaghe needs to do the same or he'll probably retire with a record of 58-0 but with a huge question mark over his head

Honestly...I was a fan of Taylor back in the day...but now...he's just fallen by the wayside. He allows himself to be pressured when he used to be the one that dictated the pressure...but if you look at his record closely & watch the fights thoroughly you will notice that the men he pressured were all on the move up & Taylor used his youth & frame to his advantage.
Now...he seems mortified to exchange after tustling with Hopkins & Wright.
He needs to grow his balls back & re-insert Pat Burns into the corner.
Well...fighting the like of B-HOP and Winky (arguably 2 of the best defensive fighters ever) would no doubt have an effect on how he fights...on mistake with B-HOP or WW would and could spell disaster...he just needs to shake that off and get back to his old self.....the guys he is going to fight are not near as good as either of those 2 fighters....

Maybe that explains why he seems to slap quite a lot?? It's a real shame and it's pretty impressive how he stil wins most of his fights by TKO. I mean look at Paulie at 140!!!
