Re: Just another one of Wacko's Drunken Round by Rounds...Cotto vs Judah.
Hide the kids, get out the popcorn, I can't wait for this fight.
My first REAL excitement since Barrera Marquez fight.

Me too man, me too... Between this fight and the Hatton - Castillo fight, I can't wait. I'm probably more excited about these two fights than PBF-ODH... sacrilege I know.

Naw man, your just a true boxing fan. cc

I can't wait. Just a week and a half before all you Judah fans chomp on those sour little words. Cotto is my bwoy.
I remember when I first heard this fight was in the pipeline, and I was surprised to hear so many people think Zab would win. I don't even think it'll be close. My money is on Cotto by round 3.

I hope you're right, I'm cheering for Cotto but in my mind Zab, with his speed and power, has got a VERY good chance of stopping of UD'ing him. It's a true pick 'em fight for me, 50/50. I'd say it could go either way, but I hope Cotto destroys Judah.
Re: Just another one of Wacko's Drunken Round by Rounds...Cotto vs Judah.
I'm becoming more and more confident that Cotto can win this. Just a gut instinct. As a huge Cotto fan,I admit,it would be hugely dissappointing if Cotto were not to win.

:coolclick: on all fronts. Totally agree. I would be disgusted myself.
Re: Just another one of Wacko's Drunken Round by Rounds...Cotto vs Judah.
I agree Gamo. I picked him all along, now with Zab's antics, you have to call his focus into question AGAIN, it's all set up for Cotto to have a HUGE night. I really think he is going to beat Zab from pillar to post and I'm beginning to think the fight goes more the way of the Quintana bout rather then the Malignaggi way.
Cotto is just the better fighter, and I think the style matchup is in Cotto's favor not Zab's.
Re: Just another one of Wacko's Drunken Round by Rounds...Cotto vs Judah.
I think Cotto will break Judah down, but by no means do I think this will be a walk in the park. I wouldn't be surprised to see Cotto floored. I just think Cotto will get back up & go back to work. I don't think Judah will be able to stand up to Cotto's onslaught as it gets into the later rounds
Re: Just another one of Wacko's Drunken Round by Rounds...Cotto vs Judah.
Just one more look at Zab from the fists of Costya Tyzu. I think that's food for thought and Cotto has become stronger at this weight. P.S. Ever since the way he acted in that fight I just mentioned, I think he'll crack again somewhere around the seventh round.
Re: Just another one of Wacko's Drunken Round by Rounds...Cotto vs Judah.
Not completely sold on Cotto...and he is a bit chinny...but history has proven that Zab cannot perform on the big stage. When you take into account Zab's mental weaknesses, his glass jaw, and the way he fades in latter rounds...it really is hard to bet for him. No question he has the physical ability and quickness to beat Cotto...but that's never been the issue with Judah. He just is a very weak fighter mentally. Good chance he can catch Cotto early...but much better chance of him getting caught or broken down by Cotto in the later rounds.
Re: Just another one of Wacko's Drunken Round by Rounds...Cotto vs Judah.
See here's one thing that really gets me.
Hatton has been criticised for winning his last 3 fights with poor performances. Zab has not been good for a while yet people still believe in him. Zab hasn't had a win in his last 3!
I don't get it really. Tszyu disposed of Zab with a powerful punch. Cotto can bang and bully, I don't think Zab can handle it and I see him coming out of this with no win in 4, where surely people will question if he is unable to hang with the big boys anymore.

Compare who Judah has fought in his career to who Hatton has fought.
If not his whole career then just look at his last 3 fights.

Personally...I don't like Judah...not one bit.
I'm a Cotto fan through & through & I hope that he just utterly dismantles him from start to finish.
Re: Just another one of Wacko's Drunken Round by Rounds...Cotto vs Judah.
According to boxrec, Arthur Mercante, Jr. is the referee for Cotto-Judah.
The three listed judges are Tom Schreck, John McKaie and Nelson Vázquez.
Schreck worked Bell-Mormeck I and Toney-Ruiz.
McKaie's biggest fight was Pavlik-McKart.
Vazquez is by far the most experienced. Calzaghe-Lacy, Hamed-McCullough, Trinidad-Cherifi, Cotto-Urkal, to name a few.

I have to agree with you man :) Cotto is a rising star and truly exciting to watch. We all know what Judah can bring to the table. This will be a fight. Let's get it on!
