Cotto still can't beat Mayweather.

Cotto has fast hands and slow feet that is the reason every opponent says he is surprisingly fast, he knows and in every fight he is perfecting how to cut the ring. he has a great chin I mean Judah hit got with the best he got and only stunned Cotto for a bout 3 seconds. I see PBF having the most difficult fight of his life. Cotto once cuts the ring he start giving combinations in the most weird way so you have to protect yourself.

Floyd would never have been hit to the body like Cotto does and regardless of how much you move,as the JLC fight showed,the body is always there to be hit. Floyd has a tendence to drift back to the ropes,use his shoulder roll and counter but Cotto would be banging to the body. Also,as the Oscar fight showed,if you swamp Floyd with activity,it can sway the judges. Cottos activity levels have been expanding match by match. FInally,Cotto can cut off the ring well and has an excellent jab.

Regardless of whether you think Cotto can win or not,he would be PBF toughest fight and the likelihood of Floyd fighting him is slim to none. Cotto's not aging,he is not coming off a loss,and is dangerous.3 factors which have plagued alot of Floyd's opponents in the last few years.

Miguel Cotto has as good of a chance as anyone else out there...

1- he goes to the body
2 - he'll hurt you no matter where he hits you
3 - he takes a good punch
4 - he may not be lightening fast but he cuts off the ring well enough
5 - he has a very good jab he never stops using

He's got as good of a chance as anyone else

I agree with you that Cotto has as good a shot as anyone else, maybe even the best shot.
I just don't think anyone at 147 will beat Mayweather until a couple years down the road when he starts to lose some of his speed.

Like Floyd the reason they are as good as they are is because intelligence, That is another erason I think Cotto can cause problems for PBF he is smart as well. U see Cotto punishing the shoulders and arms.

For a long time, I've felt Cotto would be the man that could beat Floyd Mayweather. I've always felt he has the tools to become the best pound 4 pound fighter in the world. The thing you love about Cotto, is that he can get hurt, but always has the ability to come back. It's what makes him PPV. He has an edge about him that makes him an exciting fighter. I think Cotto & Juan Diaz are the future of the sport. I can see them eventually being P4P 1 & 2.
