Not Impressed With Andre Berto.....

I still dont get it.He won every round easy except one (FLASH knockdown) ,but a lot of you think he is no good. What does a fighter have to do to look good?

On the glove thing it looked like to me he wanted to go back out but his trainer kept messing woth his glove. He never looked hurt to me. He jumped right back up after he went down .

The flaws I did see was defense ,and he didnt use his jab nearly enough in the first part of the fight . He has a great jab when he uses it.

don't know what fight you watched, he fell over after trying to get up and then finally managed to get up, there's no disputing that he made the count, but i believe he was badly hurt, and the whole messing with the glove thing just bought him time and allowed him to fully recover, and that's just bullshit, sounds like sound Panama Lewis shit

CC on the second fall...In truth the ref should have stopped it...You fall twice from thwe same shot it is over....No matter how slight...plus he looked like he was hazy during the count...A guy who was a little less shop worn then Rivera would have jumped on Berto and blew him out......

I know the promoter of the freaking card and they make sure their fights are walk overs for the stars of the show......Suprised they even let Berto fight a guy as seasoned as Rivera

You don't like American fighters much do you? admittedly i started a post about whether American fighters are hyped up or not, but i certainly don't think they are all hyped up like you do.

Berto is still learning his trad but I must admit he din't look great.

He's a young prospect, not some guy a win away from a title shot, how he handles situations like this is what will make him great in the future.....he did so much wrong in this last fight and still dominated a opponet who really wasn't a slouch himself. What does he have to do roll through the division and ko everyone to be a valid prosepect.....I think people expect way to much these days...let's see how this fight changes him before we write off a guy who didn't even loose.

CC on that man. I was starting to think I was the only one. Im not saying he look as good as usual but even though as you said he did some things wrong he won every round convincingly except one.

I got it recorded ,going to watch again tonight. I agree though, the whole glove thing was BS.

CC EL G ! I agree.. I was impressed with Berto . I like to see how a guy handles adversity. the kid got up and he fight harder . great learning experience for the youngster . I like how he didn’t lose his aggression. He kept on pressing and beating down his game opponent. I think Berto Estrada will be a nice match. Berto keeps climbing the ladder. I wish him the best !

Elterrible ,I watched it again last night ,I never noticed him stumble when getting up the first time ,he definatly did,so cc to you. I also thought he looked a little wobly walking back to his corner,funny the things you see when you watch it again..Thats why I record them.

I still think he did great after that ,he was better after the knockdown. The 8th round he gave a real arsh wooppin. Cant wait for Estrada...
