I thought he showed real fighting spirit against Cotto
I disagree, all he did was took a beating as best he could by virtually refusing to fight back. Giving his own awesome speed and offensive arsenal showing fighting spirit would have been demonstrated with him fighting back and throwing punches. All he did was the same as he did in the latter rounds against Mayweather and that was look to survive.
When the going gets tough Zab can't cope. He's got no stones.
Man,Bil,you are owning this thread. I could CC you for 3 points here but this point is the best. When I first watched the fight,I thought WOW,Judah is actually showing fighting spirit but upon repeated viewing and reading your opinion about it(I remember you saying it right after the fight),I knew ou were right,he was not fighting back, and was nothing more than a punching bag.
i didn't mean it as a fluke hit in the sense he was completely lucky to get that hit off and put him down... i just feel punches like that happen in boxing and don't in rematches.. take the penalosa v gonazlez fight... johnny wins pretty much every round but gets stopped out of nowhere, i'd be my house on that not happening again if they had a rematch... sometime S*** happens, much like a punch breaking a guys nose and causing him to lose, or a good hit on the chin putting u down at any point... some shock hits put u down and you shake it off, others cause u a match... if tszyu had won 6 of the 7 rounds then done that, then yeah no point... but at that point everyone knew how good judah was, he done will in the first round, the second very close then that punch came...
Aaaah.right,I see. That's a better explanation,CC in 24 and mind my sharp wording. I understand what you are saying but on the other hand, you have to remember, that was the first clean punch Tszyu landed and look at the destruction it caused. So,hypothetically speaking,if there was to be a rematch, how many shots would it take take for Tszyu to flatten him again? Not many for sure, especially if 1 could do that much damage!
i mean yes and no really, it could just of been one of those things in boxing... people made put judah had a completely S*** chin after that... yet look at what he took from cotto and how long it took to finish him off, and that was alot down to fatigue and battle tiredness than just one big hit from cotto...
you seen the maccarinelli fights with hobson right? the first one enzo hit him clean a load of times yet that was a razor thin win, the second fight he didn't even really catch him full on but hobson just got hit in one of those places that shakes your brain up a but and your legs refuse to work for you...
i don't think judah was out or even concust, just he took a hit went sraight back his head got shook and his equilibrium just went and that's what caused the stupid dance... he wanst shaking about when he got back up, it wasn't as if he was staggering about all over the shop coz he was out on his feet, he took a knock got up to soon, equilibrium was a bit gone and the blood got to his head to soon and he done a quick shuffel...
you could be right that it would happen again, or that punch may not of landed...
there was an article i read in the ring mag a few months ago that got me thinking about this fight to be honest, and it was in there they were explaining why the stoppage was premature and what a shame it was those 2 never fought again...
Whoever wrote that article needs to retire from writing about boxing, Judah won the first round but apart from one uppercut and a clumsy attack across the ring what did he really do in that first round? Tszyu then stalked his prey in round two and if you watch that fight again you will see it was inevitable that Tszyu was going to catch him with something big.
Totally spot on. Uppercut to the neck followed up by many punches as Tszyu was pulling away (with about 2 landing) and the windmill thing. Tszyu carried on stalking him and he really was not prepared for that.

Surely there's much better paydays/fights for him in Welter div. He has a couple of gimmes, looks impressive, and people will want to see him in with the best. Plus the best wont mind fighting him cos he's a very beatable mental midget.
if zab dropped down and took out witter, him v paulie in MSG would be hudge
Re: Judah at 140... How would he do now?
Yeah no doubt and the winner would make for a big hatton fight too!

You could be right, Hatton may be too good for them :P
Re: Judah at 140... How would he do now?
I think Judah has some great fights in store for him if he goes to 140. Especially with Paulie Magg & Hatton.

Mate, no-one would touch Zab-Witter 2 with a barge pole. The main reason Witter is vilified and has such a boring rep today is because of that fight.
If Paulie-Zab was such a big draw they can make that without Witter in the mix.
Re: Judah at 140... How would he do now?
Could PBF vs. Witter have the potential to be the Most boring fight at any weight division EVER
Re: Judah at 140... How would he do now?
No
Sprott-Skelton 2 is that.

If Judah does come down even though its boring match up i think Witter would want to revenge his only defeat.
Re: Judah at 140... How would he do now?
I wouldent mind seeing another Mayweather-Judah fight again. Zab had him in trouble in the early rounds.

Judah had him in trouble for 3 rounds then Mayweather whooped him what would be the point of Judah ?? he hasn't done a damn thing since losing to Mayweather that would be a pointless fight and i would be disappointed as a Mayweather fan if he took a rematch with Judah the only fights im interested in if he wins the Hatton fight is Williams, Cotto, Mosley,
