Yer and lacy is going to be mayweather and Hattons going to be Calzaghe! there is a lot more to this fight than the Chavez-Mayweather fight and that thing is called pride and i know for a fact Ricky Hatton is going to have a lot of that come fight night. I wouldnt right him off yet, i think he is Mayweathers hardest fight to date at the momment.
Yer!! Thats exactly how it will pan out, Mayweather will be just like Lacy :dummespost: Never mind that Calzaghe is realistically a better p4p fighter than Hatton no question, and Mayweather is even considerably moreso than Calzaghe. Yep, Mayweather will be just like Lacy. Plodding forward with no defence hoping to land that one big KO punch, while Hatton moves all over the ring, uses all angles, flurries, turns him, and never clinches once. Yeah that's just how it will go, you really know your boxing.
i didnt mean it in the context of the way they fight i meant it as in the outcome of the fight ;)

Well Chavez had pride most boxers have pride i don't see what thats got to do with anything.
These guys go well back and it will be a very hottly anticipated contest. I just cant see Ricky giving floyd anything because he knows how big it is. I just think ricky will better chavez and learn of what he did wrong.
Chavez didn't do that much wrong he used very good tactic vs Floyd but it was Floyd's defence and countering that really payed off and in the end he started to hammer Chavez i think this will happen in Hatton fight with Hatton starting off really fast with Mayweather making him miss then starting to hammer him with counters as Hatton is rushing in and get the win late on in the 10th.
well i think Hatton offers a lot more than chavez and i just feel that this fight has a lot to live up to. I just dont want to see floyd do his usually back foot fighting and show that he wants to hurt Hatton. But only time will tell, come on ricky!!!

floyd shud do what floyd feels best at doing... why should flyd come forward and try to hurt hatton? so hatton can maybe get close to him and try land a lucky shot?
I expect mayweather to spend the first part of the fight throwing and moving, on the back foot breaking hatton over rounds before finishing him...

because he said hes going to knock him out and make this a really good fight. If hes so good the lucky shot wont come and we can see a really good fight instead of floyd running away.

actualy he said he was going to knockhim out with a body punch...
and honestly bla bla bla bla bla shit i dont think i ever seen a fight where both boxers said they were going to outbox the fella for 12 round son the backfoot, funny thing is tho, its only mayweather whom people bitch about saying hes going to knock people out
i mean shit, get fooled once, fair enough, get fooled twice, well your a dumb ass

I wouldn't go as far to say Chavez is poor man's version of Hatton there isn't that much difference yes Hatton is better fighter but i certainly wouldn't call him poor man's version of Hatton.
It's not a very nice way of putting it, he's a soldier and I was gutted when he injured his knee against Diaz but it's the best way of summing him up. He's slower, shorter, not as strong, not as good defensively, throws less punches, yet he still managed to win rounds against Mayweather and caused him significant problems, so did Castillo. It's been a while since Mayweather has faught a guy his own size, which gives him a better chance in one respect, he's used to fighting bigger opponents so Hatton will be a welcome change. However it's also been a long time since he has faught someone who is accustomed to fighting on the inside as Hatton.
Arguably Hatton is the best body puncher he has ever faced, he's physically one of the strongest he has ever faced and he is also one of the hungriest and most determined young champions he has ever faced. Hatton is at the top of his game. Mayweather is obviously a big favourite, how could he not be, but I think if anyone below Middleweight is ever going to beat Floyd, it has to be The Hitman.

I think Floyd wins by 7 rnds to 5. But it will be a close hard fight.
Chavez didnt keep the same pace as the fight went on, something i feel Hatton will do.
Yes because he was getting hit by hard punches Hatton got wobbled by lighting hitting Collazo at Welterweight and Mayweather hits alot hard than Collazo and is much better boxer Hatton at Welterweight didn't look like he could bully the top boys thats how it looked in Collazo fight.
Mayweather hits alot harder? I beg to differ wheres your proof of this? Old man Shambra Mitchell? But Collzao is a big man nearly 5 ft 10 who walks about around 175 lbs. Mayweather isnt hes naturally a smaller man. Mayweather wont take the sting out of Hatton with his power??? So Tsyzu couldnt stop him in his tracks with his power but Mayweather will?? Sorry but if you think Mayweather will want to fight Hatton in the pocket i think your totally wrong, Collazo did after first couple of rounds beacuse he was the stronger man, Mayweather will not be stronger than Hatton i put my house on that.
Well he managed to rock Oscar at 154 i tell you what Mayweather has underrated power he may not hit with devasting power but he has the kind of power to make you respect him.
Collazo doesn't have the snap to his punches like Mayweather Collazo has no real power yet he managed to rock Hatton plenty of times not just the 12th.
So Tsyzu couldnt stop him in his tracks with his power but Mayweather will??
I think Mayweather will make Hatton respect his power the fight with Tszyu was at LightWelterweight where he was able to bully Tszyu at Welterweight Hatton doesn't carry same power and he can't bully fighters at higher weights thats impression i got from Collazo fight Hatton's defence was terrible in Collazo fight his chin was right there to be hit all the time just rushing forward with no defence what so ever if Hatton was in Mayweather that night Mayweather would of stopped him and thats another problem Hatton's defence seems a bit leaky and with someone with the timing and speed of Mayweather he will make Hatton pay dearly.
Hatton - Collazo is not a yardstick to measure the mayweather fight with.
Collazo is a southpaw, Hatton cannot fight southpaws....simple as - especially bigger ones.
Mayweaher will probs win but it won't be that one sided.

with all that said, mayweather has come along long way since those fights... hes alot better, more exp...

You make a good point but i disagree with this part.
throws less punches,
Chavez threw over 100+ punches and over 90+ punches in every round against Mayweather how many more punches can you throw ?

Yeah that's right, I should rephrase that into power punches.
Re: This Is How I See Hatton vs Mayweather Fight Going.
simply put, i don't see Hatton winning more than 2 rnds, and the 2 he might win will be if Mayweather chooses to take em off, Hatton has no jab to make Mayweather cover up and not counter, and well Mayweather is faster, puts together better combos, and lands crisper cleaner punches than Collazo, if he wins by TKO it'll be by cuts or swelling, or by landing so many clean punches with no answer, either way Hatton is finally getting his 1
Re: This Is How I See Hatton vs Mayweather Fight Going.
Good to see all the optimism on both sides ;) I will stay with my pick of Floyd TKO by round 9.. Again like someone mentioned already, Hatton has 0 defense and 0 jab Floyd is to slick and to fast and will wear Hatton out down the stretch... It will be a valiant effort but heart and pride dont matter when your fighting the PFP best and have nothing out of the ordinary to match him skill wise ;)

Yeah right... If anyone below middleweight is going to beat Floyd, it's going to be the hitman?? That's BS. Mosley, Cotto, Williams, Margarito, Vernon Forrest, all have a WAY better shot against him. Id even say Clottey, Cintron, and Judah would have a better shot since they could hurt him with one punch.
Re: This Is How I See Hatton vs Mayweather Fight Going.
I tend to sit and read, the silent type...
What are my thoughts? I was watching Curry vs Honeyghan. All the 'experts' talking about 'Superstar' Curry and the 'Kid' (Honeyghan was actually a year older, but why let a mere fact ruin some patronising). Then the 'Honeyghan has too much weight in his legs' then 'oh wait, Curry has ring rust'. It progressed all the way through the spectrum to 'A shot Curry'.
So come the fight I'm expecting some Deja Vu...
Hitman to shock! 5th round body shot stops PBF.
Then back here for your hipswerves, slopey shoulders, fast backtracking and generally evasive excuses :)
