I remember a white heavyweight prospect who was promised guaranteed money if he remained unbeaten at certain number of fights. He ended up fighting bums and padded his record with no motivation to increase his level of competition. Forgot his name, do not know if he ever lost.

Playing devil's advocate, could it be there was little or no competition out there to be had? I mean... that's sort of been the Klitschkos problem hasn't it? As opposed to that Hispanic dude I was alluding to.... where there's always been plenty of competition out there. Only very skillful dodging by his "team" has kept him from facing it.
