Thing is Ricky can't use the design of that fight because, it was so long ago, he doesn't have Castillo's height or reach, Floyd has altered his style since and the weight differential.

Well thats debatable Mayweather won 1st 4 rounds it was a close fight that could of gone either way in rematch he boxed Castillo's ears off plus Mayweather has improved :)

Mayweater did do much better in the rematch but remember this was at a much lower weight. I know castillo was getting on a bit when Hatton fought him but the fight was a complete and utter shut out. Not only that, Hatton stopped him and broke four of his ribs!.
Hatton took castillo very seriously and what all got to see we Hatton can do when he steps things up a couple of gears.

Hatton is no slouch and i can see how his fans can see him winning, but every opponet floyd has faced has finally been "the guy" and all the pre fight hoopla is all great untill they fight, and then floyd does what he always does and wins. I know a lot of people hate him and hate that it's been that way, but this fight is no different. Hatton has his positives and i think will make a good fight of it for a little while, but these guys are on two different levels right now, i just hope that after the fight his fans don't turn on him and start calling him a bum, no good, i knew he wasn't gonna win etc..... which is all to common.

Floyd has too much speed and skill for Ricky (and at 147 he has as much power). But, aside from that...STAMINA is also a huge factor. We all know Floyd stays in great shape year round. Hatton on the other hand tends to balloon up and down a lot between fights. I have no doubt Hatton will come into this fight in great shape...but how hard will he have worked to achieve that...whereas Floyd has no problems with his weight or conditioning. One can argue how well Floyd will hold up from constant pressure and body punching from Hatton. But taking into account Mayweather's great speed, movement, defense, and stamina...on top of his superior skill...i think he will adjust. But i have to say...i like Hatton's attitude and confidence in the build up for this fight. He seems calm and doesn't back down from Floyd...plus he is much wittier. I give the early mental edge to Hatton. I also wonder if Floyd might take this fight too lightly. He is doing the whole "Dancing with the Stars" thing and there has to be somewhat of a letdown after such a huge mega fight with Oscar. If he doesn't come into this fight 100% physically AND mentally prepared...there is always a chance for a young, hungry, and strong fighter to pull the upset.
