I was shocked to see ESPN showing highlights of this fight last night. Why they don't cover more boxing, news? ESPN is lacking big time when they claim Poker as a sport and cover that kind of cr@p. Sport Network my arse.

That is suprising, why would they pick this fight of all fights. They act like boxing's not even a sport, I mean for fuck's sake they cover the WNBA.Quote:

Strange thing about Juarez is that he can't throw decent straights or jabs, but mostly hooks. That's one reason why he can't fight from the inside. The headbutt cut in the 1st seemed to bother him but it didn't matter much. The only good thing about Juarez is that he had a pretty good defense - he used his gloves pretty well as many shots actually hit his gloves. If it weren't for his nice glove defense, he'd probably not lasted 12 rounds, especially the cut, which was bleeding from the beginning, would've opened up earlier and fight stopped. As for Marquez, at 34 and just like Penalosa, he didn't seem to have diminished a bit.
Well said. They have Been declining for years. You would F!!!!!! think with THREE channels they would show some respect as in the past when they were one of the Best Boxing friendly Networks around Imo.Quote:

Why all the hate for ESPN? They could have more boxing coverage, but what they do have is good. They got ESPN classic boxing on at 5 PM weekdays, have great Ringside biographies on great fighters, and run seasons of FNF and WNF with some action packed match ups. I think ESPN treats boxing with much more respect and gives it more attention than say, FSN or other networks.
