Now Pac is officially the P4P champ , The double talk bull$hit champion. First he has everyone buying into the insignificance of belts today while beating old battle worn boxers coming off losses. Now a belt to display in a rematch with JMM is important ? i'm also disappointed that pac chose diaz over jmm. arum seems to be feeding manny the idea that it would be better to have the rematch with marquez if he also has a world title so that there wouldn't be any complaint that one has the belt and therefore deserves a little more concessions than they are willing to give. it's still all about money. diaz is generally believed to be the easier assignment but would still fatten pac's pocket just as well, not to mention arum's wallet better. after which they would have more leverage to negotiate with marquez for more money. the thing is pac has more options at this point than marquez and arum is optimizing that option by going through the easier route with the greater financial reward.

I don't think PAC is avoiding anyone, it's quite obvious Manny is working his way to Juan Diaz who hold's majority of the belts in lightweight. What's wrong in taking a slightly weaker opposition, Manny is moving up to lightweight coming from a flyweight root.

Why is it not clear to you that JMM has every option to fight all the options Pac has as well? Why is it beyoud you to accept that a title holder would want the larger purse? ODLH is the only one to set this precedent and at the time of the JMM rematch Pac had not attained that PPV following. In any other weight class Pac would clearly be accused of ducking. What really makes me laugh is how Pac fans seem to believe that JMM has to beat Valero and Guzman to earn a shot & respect. Pac fans are content if Pac continues winning over old worn fighters, or a move up to challenge the lightest hitting / regarded one.

nothing is final though until there's an official announcement from pac's camp. earlier today manny supposedly told a gma 7 reporter that his next opponent would most likely be marquez. so until it's official i'll hold my breath.

I mean he fought JMM right after fighting Barrera. JMM was the type of guy that Pacquaio did not have to fight, not at all. Real boxing fans knew JMM was a very dangerous guy, but you could easily avoid fighting him by saying he wasn't a big name, his style wasn't exciting, he's never beaten a big name, some fighters would have said who is JMM, who has he fought, why should I fight him? But Pac fought him anyway.

And remember the fault for not having an immediate rematch was JMM's not Pac's. Well not really JMM-not a guy I think of as a ducker either-but Nacho Beristain.

I usually wouldn't mind him fighting a guy like Diaz, as long as he followed that fight up with a big fight with a guy like Juan Diaz. After all it would be his first fight at the weight, he doesn't need to fight the top guys the first time at the new weightclass. But he needs to fight JMM again first, hopefully it works out that way.

yes he can but a fight with PAC will be the biggest payday for him. and JMM physically cant go up in weight to fight diaz. he is too small and pay is not that big.
