Re: Emanuel steward says pbf is not an ATG!
Well tell how they are so much better the two wins over a prime Oscar then he has two wins over Vargas. Castillo still a question to be in the hall of fame and Chavez as and Carlos is two and Gatti was never anything more then a B fighter known more for his hart then anything and he was past it when PBf killed Him more then Vargas.

Floyd is a better skilled fighter than Shane...but Shane's resume is better than Floyd's. Does that mean Shane should be higher on the list than Floyd? Not neccessarly. But don't call the idea "insane".
I don't see how that work's considering Mosley got a gift decision in the 2nd ODLH fight.
Shane Mosley's Best Wins.
Luis Collazo
Fernando Vargas x2
ODLH x2
Wilfredo Rivera
Jesse James Leija
John John Molina
Philip Holiday
Lightweight, Welterweight, Lightmiddleweight, World champion.
Floyd Mayweather's Best Wins.
ODLH
Ricky Hatton
Jose Luis Castillo x2
Diego Corrales
Arturo Gatti
Genaro Hernandez
Carlos Hernadez
Angel Manfredy
Jesus Chavez
Superfeatherweight, Lightweight, Jr Welterweight, Welterweight, Lightmiddleweight, World Champion.
I think its pretty obvious.
I love it when Floyd fans drop Gatti on his list of great wins. I was talking about the best fighter each fought. For Shane and Floyd...that would be Oscar. YOUR opinion is that he got a gift decision in the second Oscar fight. i don't agree. Bottom line...Shane beat a prime Oscar. Floyd didn't.
And i was fair and listed Fernando Vargas for Mosley's best wins didn't i ?? and he was more shot than Gatti was.
So what if he beat a prime Oscar De La Hoya ?? how does one win contribute being higher than Mayweather overall ??

Vargas was shot to bits let not forget that, except for prime ODLH, none of Mosley's wins are better.

Gatti is  noting but a B + fighter he is S*** dude and he is not better then even a shot Vargas sorry and the over wins are close dude Castillo and Carroles my not even be in the Hall of fame so how are they so much better wins then Mosleys and there not good enogh to offset the best wins between them.

And these guys are in Hall Of Fame ??

There not that is why they are clsoe with the others and the best wins you have to look at and Shane has the better wins.

Ricky Hatton
These 3 names alone are better.

Think you are honestly over rating them look at the records and title diffence of all the names they are close.

You can say the same for several of the people on the list you made for Floyd. Sure...Vargas was shot when Shane beat him. But i don't rate Gatti highly at all...tough guy, sure...memorable trilogy with Ward, sure...but he was a punching bag for any skilled fighter he faced. Also, Shane took on a prime Cotto at his age and nearly won.

Fair enough. That's about where i have him too. My problem has never been calling Floyd an ATG. I just don't think he done enough to have him in the top 10 or top 5...as some people like to do.
Re: Emanuel steward says pbf is not an ATG!
I had him at 24 and he could be higher but i gave the other guys the benifit based on compation could go either was no higher then 21 for me thoough.
Re: Emanuel steward says pbf is not an ATG!
Now that Mayweather has fought two “money” fights, it is time the “linear” welterweight to fight a true welterweight. Cotto, Williams, Margarito, Cintron, Clottey, etc. No more fighters past their prime. No more fighters coming up in weight. Enough is enough. It is time to see the “linear” welterweight champion fight a welterweight.

This isn't even worth discussing putting Benitez or Mosley higher than Mayweather is just insane.
Tito is even more ridiculous. The only ones here that I see as totally non-debatable are SRR and Ali. Arguments could be made either way for, e.g., Whittaker, B-Hop, SRL, JCC, etc. But seriously, Felix Trinidad?? What a joke!

Don't forget the 5 losses, 4 of them in his prime. That alone drops him well below Floyd.
