Whats all this rubbish about a suspect chin?
Cotto has never been knocked down!
Mayweather and Hatton have both been knocked down so have a more suspect chin.
If you look at the results you will see every guy Hatton, Mayweather and Cotto has fought. Cotto has always finished the guy off sooner and by a bigger margin.
Cotto also has a better relationship with the judges/referee. Because Puerto Rico is an American state.
He also has an entire country behind him.
Puerto Rico is huge for boxing. names like "Tito" Felix Trinidad,
"Bazooka" Wilfredo Gomez the greatest super bantam weight the worlds ever seen
Carlos Ortiz the greatest light weight the worlds ever seen.
"El Radar" Wilfred Benitez
"Sugar" Carlos De Leon the greatest Cruiser weight the worlds ever seen.
And even names like "Tito" Felix Trinidad. Will echo in history for his famous wins.
For a country of less than 4 million to have 3 of the worlds greatest boxers. Well. It shows it's a country that breeds the best boxers in the world. Second to none!
Cotto has never been knocked down!
He was knocked down against Ricardo Torres, yes ok it may of been more of a push but its still official knockdown.
Mayweather and Hatton have both been knocked down so have a more suspect chin.
I can tell you have never seen Mayweather vs Hernandez, because if you had you would realize. Mayweather hit Hernandez on the top of the head, and he badly hurt his hand, and his left glove touched the canvas, It wasn't from a punch.
"Sugar" Carlos De Leon the greatest Cruiser weight the worlds ever seen.
I think Holyfield would have a say in that.
Is there more than one Pernell "Sweet Pea" Whitaker on this forum?
I swear that there was a guy with a similar name who always got on my nerves but you seem to speak right on the money. Every post you have made in the past 2 or 3 days has been honest, fair and accurate. Maybe it was another guy with a similar name that I bumped heads with sometime ago. You don't sound like him. CC

There is someone called, *Sweet Pea* on here. Maybe you got him mixed up with me ?? but i do agree Cotto in my mind has never really truly been knocked down. And since moving up to Welterweight his punch resistance is much better, Like i told you long time ago im Mayweather fan, but i think Cotto's kind of pressure would give Mayweather a lot of trouble, because he doesn't rush in he picks his shots well, remember how Castillo's kind of aggression gave Mayweather trouble ?? i think Cotto could very well give Mayweather the same kind of trouble because he is patient when he is being the aggressor and thats what he needs to do against Mayweather. Swarmers like Jesus Chavez, Ricky Hatton doesn't work because you give Mayweather too many countering opportunities. Cotto also has a good jab and when he uses the jab he closes to distance between himself and his opponent his jab will be more of a key than people think. I really like Cotto he isn't 1 dimensional and i have seen alot of different skills from Cotto, lets just hope Mayweather vs Cotto gets made as soon as possible.
And cc back Danny.

Because Puerto Rico is an American state
Though I appreciate your love for puertorrican fighters and I hope you take no offense in what I am about to say, but go fu*& yourself and your "PR is a state" comement.... ;D
Re: It's what you want. It's what I want. Let the predictions begin. Cotto - PBF
You obviously don't have a clue The rookie fan so it's okay.
Puerto Rico is an American state it's been under United States sovereignty for over 100 years.
I guess you didn't take any history lessons.
Either way, it's a latin country belonging to the U.S. This gives him as much of biased opinion from the officals as any American he may be fighting.
Cotto has never been knocked down!

I have the fight on DVD and he wasn't knocked down, you must be imagining that one.

Pain in the ribs pain in the hand, same difference.
"Sugar" Carlos De Leon the greatest Cruiser weight the worlds ever seen.

Holyfield may very well have something to say abot that. But when Holyfield got the the age Carlos De Leon was when he fought him. He was also losing. So.....
14 years into his carrer. holy field was 26 years old

Well I don't really want to get all political in a boxing forum, but trust me son, I know perfectly well what I'm saying. The US has 50 states and Puerto Rico is not one of them.
Re: It's what you want. It's what I want. Let the predictions begin. Cotto - PBF
I don't think Cotto should both fighting Mayweather yet.
I think Cotto should fight Oscar Dela Hoya.
Re: It's what you want. It's what I want. Let the predictions begin. Cotto - PBF
Are you a total half wit rookie fan?
Don't you understand what under "United States sovereignty for over 100 years" means?
LMAO.
Fair enough if you don't call it a state. I supose it's not even big enough for an American to care.
Biggers always better right. LMAO, Americans make me laugh.

LMAO. Duhhhhh.
First I want to appolagize to the Mods if it is against the rules to talk about politics in this forum. This is the las coment I am going to make on this subject.
Wasp, what that means is that 100 years ago the US invaded Puerto Rico and took it from Spain. Since then Puerto Rico is and has been a Colony (or if you prefer Commonwealth)under control of the United States.
I don't know where you are from and I don't know what kind of BS they are teaching you. No matter how much the US tries to sugar cone what Puerto Rico is. It is in fact the ONLY Colony left in the ENTIRE WORLD. We cannot vote for the President. We do not have representation in Congress. WE ARE NOT A STATE.

should be a good fight though

Puerto Rico is part of the USA.
Sovereignty means part of something. "undived". "unified state"
LMAO. Look at the Puerto Rican flag. Why do you think it looks like that?

Finally you got it. I just didn't like the way you frased it that is all. Call me sensitive.
As for the fight. I also think they should let the fight build up and not rush into it. I like the idea someone sugested in another thread about having a ww tournament between the 4 champions. Don't think it will happend though.

No i think your the one imaging it or you haven't seen the fight, he was knocked down in the 2nd round i think you need to watch it again.
You're right i haven't seen the fight but either way he was knocked down.

So don't comment on something you haven't seen. Its nothing like a pain in the ribs. He hit Hernandez on the head and he badly hurt his hand, and the pain in his hand was so bad his glove touched the canvas. It was not from a punch so its not really a proper knock down and if you actually watched the fight you wouldn't consider it one.
