2 Ricky Hatton's
walking along.....
well in your case anyway
how do you spell his name right twice and wrong twice in the same post?
Re: Fighters you dislike at the moment....
Mayweather
Darn it! I just want to see him loose convincingly and see what he has to say about that. Hope he joins the MMA!
Re: Fighters you dislike at the moment....
PBF - Because he apparently is actually a nice guy but he puts on his arrogant, obnoxious gangster act and that makes him a fraud and a jackass.
Zab Judah - I just don't like him, never have. I can't knock his level of competition though, he'll fight anyone and has the tools to beat most.
Allan Green - I just don't like anything about him. Miranda knocking the shit out of him made me a big fan of Edison.
Kermit Cintron - For pretty much the same reasons Legion stated earlier in the thread. He talks a lot of shit, is a quitter. That bullshit "injury" to his hand and his subsequent drama-queen performance during the Feliciano fight made me like him less. Hell, I'd empahtically cheer for Zab Judah if those two fought.
I'm starting to dislike Malinaggi.
I like Ricky Hatton but he acted like a douchebag in the lead up to the PBF fight.
I have a ton of respect for all those guys though, they put their lives on the line in the ring, I just don't like them.

Tye Fields- Nothing really to hate on him about, but he is just goofy and it's a wonder he is even in the ring. A fraud who, though tries his best, needs to be put on ice because it's a travesty he steps in that ring IMO.
Peter Manfredo- Please someone get this squeaky voiced going nowhere guy out of the ring. Go watch the clock at a 9 to 5 job, not in the ring.
Alan Green- I have been a big fan of him, and still have hopes for him, but this staring at the feet business is starting to get under my skin.
For Cintron, I don't mind the talking of s***. I mean they all do it: Mayweather, Hopkins, Paulie. Cintron is just trying to get a payday just like those guys. But of course, the quitting is problematic. At least Paulie took his beating from Cotto like a man. Cintron has a lot to prove.
Re: Fighters you dislike at the moment....
Is CutMeMick's internet connection broken??
I expected at least 5 anti-Zab posts by him in this thread. I'm disappointed.

With Ali I just think he benefits from his era, not specifically the guys he fought but just the era itself...the 1960's-1970's those are some unstable years in EVERYTHING politics, music, war, civil rights, and so on and so on but there is one constant and that's Ali. Ali was both consistently the best but a change in what athletes are, he brought about the Celebrity Athlete and he was given a pulpit and hell he didn't need an invitation or a microphone to speak and be heard he was going to do that anyways but TV helped him out a ton, it got him in homes across the USA......but what he did with his speech was equally bad as it was good. I don't so much care he was touting himself as "the Greatest of All-Time" but to give him that title just on his saying so is moronic and to give him that title just by looking only at what he did is equally as moronic. Also he was against the government and societal standards when it came to civil rights BUT he was merciless in his trash talking to Patterson, Frazier, Foreman, and other fighters....getting hyped for a fight or taking a fighter out of their game mentally is one thing BUT doing what he did in my opinion made him look like a huge hypocrit.
As for Gerald McClellan, he was an exciting fighter no one can deny him that but watching him be brutal in the ring and hearing the stories of him outside the ring you just, well I at least am able to see the primal rage in him and it really was like he wanted to become a pit bull in there. All of that makes for a fun fighter to watch but when you live a life that is never ending violence and death and torture in and outside the ring it makes it hard for me to like him, knowing he was even more vicious outside the ring.

Antonio Margarito - seems like a real cool guy with a good head on his shoulders, but I guess that it's his delusional fans who think that's he's anything above a "C-," fighter that makes me yearn for him to get knocked out.
Gee mate, bit harsh on Evander. No one can deny he is a gladiator of the sport. The man has wins over Tyson, Bowe, Moorer, Foreman o name but a few. He has fought and gone the distance with all the top heavies of his era. If that dont make u a boxing gladiator nothing does.
Steroids don't make you a gladiator.

You're right, they all do the sh#t talk thing; but Cintron I must say has alot of nerve to put on an academy award winning performance after Jesse, then back out of the PW fight, and as soon as{or so it seems} PW gets hooked with Quintana, well then Cintron makes a video like it's a dating service trying to get Margarito's attention. Pointing his finger at the camera saying "I want you" like he's Uncle Sam or something ::** But hey, who knows, he may get his mind right and do some big things, and I'll be the 1st one to say I was wrong. Until then, f#ck him ;D
And I really get a stomach ache when I hear Sergio Mora's name; another booby boy who needs to get gone in a hurry.

Zabs history off whooping top fighters is not what I would want to bet on Friend. Its a Chance Im more than comfortable Taking.I really have nothing against Zab,Mad respect for that gallant thrashing he took (and gave...For a minute or so )vs. Cotto,But Margarito is going to torture him with that all angel power assault and tenacity.Zab could get some "ooo's and awwww's" with some snappy shots early but he does not have the will or ability to sustain an all out battle with Tony. :D
Re: Fighters you dislike at the moment....
Floyd mayweather JR.
Just the fact he is calling himself the best WW (I will only give credit for Zab fight but zab loose to Baldo and Cotto) but goes fights Mitchell ( I was thinking is a warmup) but then goes to fight Baldo?????
SO me as a boxing fan want more what he does fights a freaking Jr. Welter @ WW ???????
but he can't fight the WW div most dominant fighters. Cotto or Williams what ever.
fight one of them and win and then I will change my nickname to PBF#1FAN
oops here comes the SC  :duck: :sitr:

In the case of Ali it is all the factors together that made him who he was...the politics in and out of the ring..the comebacks...being banished then coming back to win a title etc...IMO it is more of his over all mistique that makes him who he is...there are plenty of things about him I do not like or should I say didn't like but then again times were different then...not just in boxing but the world in general....One thing I can give him credit for in all his bragging etc...There are interviews with Ali where he admits to things such as he does not think he is the greatest fighter ever only the greatest HW...also some interviews later in life where he regrets some of his outside antics...but there are some things I understand people did not like about him.....With Ali it went one of two ways either you loved him or hated him...there was no in between
As for McClellan I can respect the way you feel...Many people (myself included) tend to forget how people were after tragedies happen like the one that happened to McClellen...overlooking everything bad and even making them loved when they may not deserve it....I am not saying McClellen was the worst kind of guy you could meet but he was not exactly the nicest either
Re: Fighters you dislike at the moment....
Even though he's my top favorite fighter on the planet...I loathe Floyd Mayweather jr's personality & act.
Next? Jermaine Taylor, John Ruiz, Kermit Cintron, & the list could go on & on...but that's where I am right now.
