Re: It's Official: Tom Cruise is fucking insane
If we judged people on their actions and abilities alone Floyd Maywether Jr. would be the most popular guy in boxing.

I'm all for faith! As long as it leads your life in a positive direction, I don't care if you're praying to a turd that dropped from your a** 2 weeks ago if you think that it's bringing you salvation.. But the more power scientology gains with their crazy beleifs, the more I can see it taking a very negative turn somewhere along the line....
you have to consider that it's not just scientology but literally dozens of different groups, philosophies, cults etc that are out there, and are strictly adhered to by the world's elite. When you consider that virtually everyone in the Western World gets their beliefs from the media, television, newspapers, film etc and that the media is controlled by people who clearly have a very specific agenda you can see how the idea of indoctrinisation is not so far fetched at all.
I've often taken a battering on here for my views on the Bible but people just don't understand the philosophical movements and under pinnings that had to occur for the shift in belief from God to man through Science.
Nowadays people think that science equals reason and religion equals faith when in fact the opposite is true. It is only the Biblical model that can be tested. The history is there for everyone to plainly see.
Whilst I'm not against science, evolution was merely just one of many philosophical shifts made to get people away from faith in God to putting faith in man.
And now we have all put our faith in man, those men in charge can manipulate and control us and our behaviours as they see fit.
The more you study history, science and philosophy the scarier all this S*** becomes. :-\
I totally agree with you on the dangers of indoctrinisation, but not on the part science played in putting faith into man.
Faith in any specific religion has always been an (inadvertent) faith in man. While believing in perhaps the divinity and infallibilty of prophets such as Abraham, Jesus or Muhamad is a question of faith alone, following any specific interpretaion of those faiths is huge question of faith in the men that followed them and created those interpretations. And whatever anyone says, every single 'man' has a personal agenda and motivation, however well intentioned.
