Re: The World and British RBR's! - Chagaev/Skelton and Pickering/Hughes
Round 9:
Going into the final third, I feel tired just watching this. Good short hooks from Pickering, as he looks to get in and work the body and uppercut. Hughes pushed back, three big hooks rock Hughes head back. Pickering looking to finish it, and the ref steps in.
Hughes still on his feet, and not too happy with the stoppage. Probably a decent decision, with Hughes head lolling back a little.
Good win for Pickering, great fight, fantastic advert for British boxing.

Re: The World and British RBR's! - Chagaev/Skelton and Pickering/Hughes
I can't say it often enough, but I love British boxing on nights like this. Amazing fight, commitment from both guys, resilience, determination, stubbornness and it was just the total antithesis of Skelton v Sprott involving tomorrow night's protagonist. Superb stuff, and exactly what why there needs to be a boxing scene outside of Frank Warren's domain of mismatches.
As for the post fight interview....here's what Esham Pickering had to say:
"It was better than last time, but there's still a little to work on. I thought I was lacklustre at times, but I won the fihgt and I'm happy with that. He did have an awkward style, though not necessarily a puncher. THere's a lot more to come from me, now I've avenged that loss. I'm still British champion and I have one more fight till that belt's mine for keeps."

Cheers bro, I'll send another back your way when karma allows. Anyway, I'm checking off for the evening now, I got an 8am stint at work tomorrow morning, so a couple of beers will put me out like a light! ;)

How do you feel about Chagaev Johnny? And what do you reckon on his chances against the other title holders if he gets past Skelton?
Anyhow, the Hughes v Pickering coverage is starting in a few minutes, and fans new favourite Sean Hughes will be gunning for the British title!
Chagaev is hard to valuate...Thats why I definitely want to see this fight...
I think Chagaev is one of those guys who grow with a challenge...could be that he takes Skelton
to easy and that it will be a sloppy fight from Chagaevs side...
I will be most probably watch the fight at home and join you here...Till then...
Re: The World and British RBR's! - Chagaev/Skelton and Pickering/Hughes
I see Skelton doing well, you ever see chagaevs fight with Ruiz? He had trouble and there was an argument that Ruiz wan

For those who want to see tonights fights and can make it to the other side you know where to go. ;)
Re: The World and British RBR's! - Chagaev/Skelton and Pickering/Hughes
Rhun's assistant is here ;)
The programme has started but i don't know what time the fight starts. Frank Maloney (David Haye's promoter) is in the studio and reckons Skelton will get DQ as he will get that frustrated with Chagaev style, he says Chagaev can rule the heavyweight division and referred to Skelton as having "No-Chance" whatsoever.
Should be a good fight and I'm looking forward to it.
Re: The World and British RBR's! - Chagaev/Skelton and Pickering/Hughes
Should get underway in about 15-20 minutes...

Don't doubt me lee....I'm on this s**T like white on rice....but unfortunately I got a big curry with rice in front of me, and watching Bidenko get rattled late on against Salif. I'm still thinking Skelton might spring a surprise, but then again we got JohnnyKickAss and Frank Maloney telling us that Skelton can't win. ;)
Hopefully there's more action here than in that last heavyweight fight. That was slow, slow , slow. Bb when the curry is done. ;)

I ain't doubting you one bit bro >:mad......... ;D only joking man, hope your enjoying your curry and Frank Maloney referred to the fight as Chagaev as a Professeur to Skelton as a Pupil.
Frank really is Anti-Skelton.
