He will up his game a lot against a better fighter and you know that for a fact. So you cant really say he would fight like that against a better fighter to be honest. He will feel a lot more pressure and we will see the best of Froch, he can only get better and he is doing that.
He didnt bottle the fight at all, he faught Peter Manfredo instead...
Froch was given the opportunity to fight Calzaghe and bottled it.
Because he's never fought anybody near wotld-class, we have no idea how he'll handle the pressure of fighting them and no idea if he'll be able to up his game. He may crumble completely, which is the impression I get from his interviews. I really feel that he doesn't believe in himself against top guys, which is why he's 31 and still hasn't stepped up and why he bottled the Calzaghe fight.
Can you not actually read or something? He was suppose to fight INKIN who PULLED OUT TWICE! he is top ten. BERRIO also didnt want anything to do with Froch either, who would have also been his hardest fight to date. He has been a pro for 5 years, he is getting a better record and pushing up against better fighters from now on. INKIN was the better fighter, can you not see this????? He is GOING to fight better fighters in a matter of time. Just wait.
Almost making it into the ring with another fringe contender doesn't count as an actual fight. When he actually gets in the ring with a world-class fighter we'll find out, won't we? Until he does we can only speculate. But the way he bottled the Calzaghe opportunity tells me all I need to know about how he really feels. I wouldn't be surprised to watch him melt down in the ring when he finally does get in with somebody good.

He cant wait for a long time for his next fight and im hoping its in the next 2-3 months so we can see him in his world title showdown. He showed respect to JC, that was good to see too.
Are you fucking kidding me Tam?

Really? He impressed you. I've seen A LOT better outing by Froch and last night wasn't an impressive one.
Here's me thoughts on it:

I thought Froch could have taken him out in 1 round but Froch didn't and that's his fault. He won and that's what matters in the end.
Hopefully we can see him step it up in class soon.
Re: Froch impressed last night!
I didn't thnik Froch looked impressive, he was up against a third choice oppoentthat was completely outclassed and he only KO'ed him.
He should have boxed and impressed but he didn't.
If he wasn't going to spark him in round 1 he should have outclassed hime to impress.
Re: Froch impressed last night!
He got a KO win over a undefeated although late replacement but it didn't really tell us anything. Thats what he was expected to do. I wanna see him in against another top 10 guy

In reality this was his audition.
Whether it was Inkin or not, this fight was meant to be his proof of quality and I don't feel he showed that in this fight.

Yeah but at least against Inkin it would have meant something, the guy was a last minute replacement, plus he was unbeaten although against limited opposition but still he had never lost. When your training for 3 or 4 different styles it can affect your preparation. He got the win which is what mattered most (ask Witter) now its forward from here hopefully!

Well I wish him luck, but honestly after that performance I can't see him threatening the likes of But and Kessler.

I think he'd give Bute a run for his money, would be 50/50 IMO but I agree with you on Kessler

It could be 50/50.
Froch undeniably carries power and the uppercut is a strange blow to have as a signature punch.
I just feel that Bute, although he's a big strong guy, has the ability to fight like a light pressure fighter and that type of fighter can trouble Froch as he likes to take his time.
But look, I'm being over critical, let's see how he does shall we:)

He clearly won the fight though. There was no doubts the pole had a monster chin, so I think he did well in beating him the way he did. but all i have to say is, lets hope he gets a good next fight.
Re: Froch impressed last night!
You've gotta give Tam credit. Considering he's (allegedly) not Carl Froch, he's remarkably persistent in defending him against all the people that think he's utter shit.
Re: Froch impressed last night!
For me it's hard to judge this guy after this weekend's fight. The guy had to prepare for like twenty different opponets, was the so called headliner being upstaged by the witter bradley fight, i think it was pretty impressive just in itself for him not to have fallen asleep during this fight. After the ref gave the ring instructions i was half ass expecting the camera to pan back just to show Albert Rybacki gone and another last minute opponet jumping through the ropes....ok i'm exagerrating but this whole experience must have been a huge let down after another for froch. With his only real motavation being witter letting down the crowd and the fight being shown on U.S. tv. Now just to be fair what i did see reguardless of the circumstances didn't look to threating to any of the other top guys in the division. He looked really slow, hands were low, and took a little long getting rid of a guy who miranda just for example i belive would have KO'ed in the first or second. Not a fair judge of what he really has to offer though.

:lolhaha: Groupie love at his finest.
Re: Froch impressed last night!
I actually hope Tam Seddon is right and Froch blows everybody away at supermiddle and then light heavy. I'd love to see an English hands-down no-defence guy just bomb everybody out easily but somehow I just can't see it. :)
I'd be delighted if Tam is laughing his head off at us when Froch sparks Kessler and Jermain Taylor though. :)

Oh! don't get me wrong... I like his style.
He's a fighter and likes come forward but come on let's be real here he hasn't fought any Top World Class fighter.
