Don't think Hatton has too much more left to be honest. His defense was shocking and he got caught quite a bit. If Paulie sorts that stupid hair cut out that kept getting in his eyes I reckon he'll outbox Hatton in the Garden.

Hattons always been getting caught.
eamonn magee hurt hatton as did jon thaxton, ray olivera, luis collazo, need i go on??
He beat an excellent opponent who stood and traded all night long and was not prepared to take a backward step.
Hatton still though won at least 10 of the 12 rounds and never looked in any serious threat throughout the entire contest.
Ricky still has 3-4 big performances left in him and id be shocked if that 1 defeat on his record ever became a 2!!

As i said on the other thread i don't think Hatton was hurt as much as people are making out, i was actually quite shocked when i watched it and thought to myself this is what everyone was going crazy about ?? Collazo, Phillips, hurt Hatton more than Lazcano did. As JT Rock pointed out Lazcano was holding Hatton's head down and hitting him at the same time which is obviously against the rules. Hatton was buzzed but on the verge of being KO'ed ?? no way just look at the way Hatton goes back to his corner his legs are fine and his head is still clear. And people seriously underestimated Lazcano, i told you guys Lazcano would give Hatton a tougher fight than a lot of people expected, Plus he has always been a pretty good puncher.
But that doesn't mean Hatton doesn't need to improve his defense which he does. I hate the way he leaps in and leaves his chin so open, thats the exact reason he was KO'ed by Mayweather, and thats exact reason he got staggered by Lazcano. I would like to see more head movement as Hatton comes in, but overall it was a good performance against a solid fighter, Hatton done well considering he was coming off KO loss, and like i said in the other thread he would of been nervous with all those fans to please coming off a loss its a hard thing to do, because you question your abilities. But his combinations were there and so was his body work, the only real weakness is that he doesn't use head movement as he comes in, plus when he leaps in he leaves himself wide open, but other than that it looked like a typical Hatton performance and i can't see why Hatton is getting so much stick.
