Re: Who is the greatest Light heavyweight of all time
Well we have quite a clear leader up to now. Roy Jones Jr. Gotta agree too!

Come on Lyle read the question. I put them names up off the top of my head. If I sat down and did it again I would include them. I put a other category there for this exact reason
Re: Who is the greatest Light heavyweight of all time
I'm asking you to personally evaluate them...I understand you left some people off, it's only reasonable because there are only a certain amount of spaces but I am curious to know what you think of those guys

Right then I'm with you now, well Tunney should have been included by me in the list as I think he was the best scientific boxer above welterweight of all time until SRR came along. I don't see him beating RJJ though. Roy was amazing in his prime IMO. I do not see it being an exciting fight though because of both mens unbelievable boxing skills and both men would have had a lot of respect for what the other could do. Another thing with Tunney is he is unfortunate with regards to his era as there were obviously a lot of his fights not filmed and really I have not seen anywhere near as much footage of Tunney as I have some of the others on the list.
As for Conn he became a good LH champion but it took a long time to get there and he struggled along the way. By the time he challenged for the LH title he had a record of 46-10-1 with only 7 KO's. He to me would have been nowhere near as famous without the fights against Joe Louis at Heavyweight. But at the same time he learned from all his early defeats and they made him a better fighter but to me there are a few in my list that would have comfortably schooled him. I know he was doing well against Joe Louis but at the end of the day its not how you WERE doing that counts its what you DID and he got KO'd. I have respect for him though.

I also said Ezzard Charles but i watched Bob Foster again and boy can he bang i forgot how frightening his power was if we are going by favorites then it has to be Bob Foster for me i think he went undefeated at Light Heavyweight as well which is something to ponder.

Yep your right! all his defeats came at heavyweight.
Re: Who is the greatest Light heavyweight of all time
Michael Moorer wasnt a bad light heavyweight.
Could have mixed it with anyone in history
Re: Who is the greatest Light heavyweight of all time
Michael Moorer could also have been the McClellon of super middleweight. That is a fighter with no plan B when his punching power did not work. Foster, Spinks and Roy Jones would have tested him and I believe he would have been found wanting and could not live with the greats at the weight.

Maybe but we'll never know. Thats why I couldn't have him in the list! Should have fought Hill at least.

Just like Tyson . Michale Moorer never reached his full potential at light heavy IMO. If he did , he may very well be the greates light heavy from what I saw of him . The guy was a monster
