Edison Miranda = Jeff Lacy without a belt;D
Miranda my ass what ? your not making sense the fact is at that time, Miranda was still a name. And Kessler backed out and fought a nobody instead, and if Mikkel Kessler had fought and beat Miranda he would of got alot of credit.
And now Kessler is fighting another nobody, i really don't know why Kessler is wasting his time with these kind of opponents. He would of got the credit for fighting Miranda. And Miranda is a better fighter than Kessler's last opponent and Kessler's latest opponent put together.
KESSLER DUCKS MIRANDA!!!!!
There are a few people in this that keep repeating this.
If you are one of these listen up for once....:
Kessler's team wanted Miranda recognised as the top opponent for Kessler first so that they could make the fight for a belt. As such, the team lobbied the WBA and surprise suprise Miranda got ranked as top contender in the next rankings about 10 days after Miranda's offer. Kessler having worked hard to get Miranda ranked now made his team a better offer. Only to find that suddenly Miranda didn't want any of it
Please remember that and stop repeating a wrong story
A lot of pundits don't agree with that assessment.
Either way, for some reason only his management can explain, Kessler was in the limelight after fighting Calzaghe, and now has faded into obscurity. You can't blame Miranda for that.
Re: Kessler`s training video
This thread is getting ridiculous, Kessler obviously is one of the most solid fundamentals boxers in the game, he was very competitive against Calzaghe for the first half of the fight. I think 2008 will be written off by Kess and his crew and expanding his skills. I too would like to see him fight bigger names again, that would be great. As for what happened in the negotiations with Miranda, there is not much anyone here can do but speculate unless of course you were on the phone with them and have copies of the contracts handy. I will be dissapointed in Kess if he doesn't fight a Ring ranked fighter next, but he can get this out of the way.
