This ISNT a breakout, career defining fight, this is the fight that will hopefully lead to a career defining, breakout fight.

Plus the way he hangs his hands so low I see him getting sparked out cold if he steps in with Margarito again or goes up against Daniel Santos.

I'll say it now, Santos KO's him.

Looked fine to me but he didnt complain too much....

It's funny, under normal circumstances I would have been impressed and singing his praises, but Lampley and Kellerman have completely turned me off him now.

I will hope he gets battered next time out just to make them look stupid.

Nice combo's from Martinez to the head of Bunema, Jab, jab, right hand, to the body from Bunema. Counter jabs from Martinez, Jab, Jab, straight left hand from Martinez, and again. Nice left hand over the top from Martinez. Solid jab from Martinez rocks Bunema's head back followed by a nice left hand drives Bunema back to the ropes, Bunema comes back with a glancing right hand over the top. Wild left hook misses from Bunema at the hell.

Round 2 = Martinez starts out the round with solid jabs, followed by a good straight left hand. Jabs to the body and head from Martinez, body shots from Bunema while Martinez is on the ropes. Martinez lands with a good straight left hand lead. Martinez has good his jab working well. But a hard right hand from Bunema his best shot so far. Counter jab from Martinez, solid jab again from Martinez. Nice jab, straight left combo. Drives Bunema back to the ropes, Martinez just pawing with jabs and taunting, its a very easy fight for Martinez so far.

TWO STRAIGHT LEFT HAND LEADS AND DOWN GOES BUNEMA HE GETS UP BUT HE IS STILL HURT. MARTINEZ STARTS OUT JABBING TRYING TO SET UP THE STRAIGHT LEFT HAND. Bunema seems to have recovered and Martinez goes back to boxing, Nice counter jab from Martinez, followed by a straight left hand, FLURRY OF PUNCHES FROM ALL ANGLES FROM MARTINEZ WHILE BUNEMA IS ON THE ROPES. TO END THE ROUND.

This is a boxing lesson, Solid jab again these are hard solid jabs from Martinez. Left hooks and uppercuts from Martinez on the inside, counter left hand from Martinez. Martinez has his hands at his waist, and is landing when he wants to. Hard straight left hand from Martinez, nice solid jab from Martiez and Bunema didn't even see it damn Martinez is quick.

And Bunema seems stunned again on the ropes. Straight left hand lead from Martinez, Damn about 9 punches in a row from Martinez, what a boxing lesson this is.

6-0 Martinez.

Round 7 = Not much happening at the start of the round. Now finally Martinez explodes with a quick combo, Bunema lands a counter straight right hand. Bunema lands two right hand leads, not a bad start to the round from Bunema, but now Martinez lands jabs at will while Bunema's in the corner. JAB JAB STRAIGHT HAND LEAD AND BUNEMA IS HURT A FLURRY OF PUNCHES FROM ALL ANGLES AND BUNEMA IS HURT, he seems to have recovered. But Martinez is just landing at will this fight should be stopped, these Jabs are landing at will. And these are hard jabs, Bunema lands a good right hand, but he gets busted with a good body shot, followed by a flurry of hard punches to Bunema's head to end the round.

Two point round for Martinez it was so one sided IMO 7-0 Martinez.

Round 8 = Martinez runs around the ring, then lands another jab, jab, straight left hand. And the same combination again, punches are landing at will especially Martinez's hard stiff jab. HARD LEFT HAND FROM MARTINEZ HURT BUNEMA FOLLOWED BY A FLURRY OF PUNCHES, TWO MORE STRAIGHT LEFT HAND LEADS FOR MARTINEZ, Bunema is getting whooped from pillar to post, the corner should throw in the towel. Bunema has only landed one right hand this is ridiculously one sided. Solid combos from Martinez while Bunema is on the ropes about 12 punches in a row. Bunema lands a few solid right hand but it has no effect on Martinez.

At least Angulo is up next. I love this guy, and don't care what Lampley and Kellerman say about him, as far as I'm concerned Angulo is a showtime fighter so HBO better not try and claim him as their own :fyou:

I think Martinez fought a good fight, but I want to see him against tougher competition.

This fight was actually supposed to be against Joel Julio, but Julio't team wouldn't take the fight. I think that would have been a much more competitive fight.
