Re: Will Cotto Be The Same

I hope he does come back, stronger if possible. The odds are against him though, the majority who suffer such a defeat simply don't make it back, of course he may be different but all we can do til he next steps in the ring is 'presume'.
Yep! Let's wait and see but then again, he's fighting another guy like all the ones he fought before Margarito so I wouldn't really really be all excited about this fight. Nice to see him in the ring. I enjoy seeing his combinations, angles, etc. But I enjoy it more when it is against a true champion in his prime and not a has-been or "good journeyman".

He was beaten into submission, and quit. It's nothing to be ashamed of as his body was scraming at him no more, but since he wasn't unconsious he had to make the decision himself.
Nothing wrong with quitting like he did, that's right. If your body can't take it then its time to quit and shake your head "no mas" like he did. If he wanted to look good with the fans the beating would have been worse. Quitting is not THAT bad really.

all he was doing was trying to get away, maybe survive till the end of the fight.
I saw him backpedaling many times, I was surprised.

till he faces someone who can stand in with him and give as good as he can take. Then we will see what he's made of.
Fighting someone like Jennings won't do it.
