Remember the ODLH that faced Tito Trinidad, Ike Quartey, Bernard Hopkins (eventhough he lost that one), etc.? Look at ODLH speeed, piercing fast jab, legs, hooks, uppercuts, body punches, etc. Imagine if he paced ANYBODY from present time, back in those days. He made the bad decision to stay in the ring longer than he should, drain himself like he did where he even ended up weighting less than Pac! He took a taste of his own medicine just like when he faced old worned out JC Chavez instead of facing JC Chavez at least 5 years before.
Pac is good! No doubt. Keeps improving things here and there with every fight but let's not forget where ODLH was when he faced him. Interestingly, even Pac and his whole team acknowledged this!

Imagine! If Berbick had hardcore fans and groupies they would ignore that same fact that Ali was simply passed his prime, old, etc.
See, that is the thing! Hardcore fans, groupies, and the casual fan will ignore the fact that a fighter was passed his prime, old, worned out, out of gas, drained, etc. They just pay attention to the fact that their guy won. I've had this discussion with hardcore Pac fans over and over and when I ask them about ODLH being in his prime or not and telling them what Pac and his whole team even acknowledged they just skip it or ignore it. There are other fights Pac has won and I have praised but not the one against ODLH for the reasons already mentioned.

The facts are unavoidable . Barrera was coming off a loss when he fought Pac .All 3 times Pac fought Morales , el terrible was coming off a loss and Oscar quite clearly was losing more than he was winning going into the pac fight not to mention fighting at a weight he hadnt boiled down to for years . So the facts are there.
If they wish to ignore them thats fine but that means Camacho owns prime Leonard and Mcbride owns prime Tyson ;D

Comparing Camacho to Pac is tolerable but McBride? :confused:
Oscar has a great boxer and a great left hook. In his prime he'll have more GAS but pls consider this.
DId he have trouble with southpaws? a BIG YES!!! he doest know how to fight lefties..
PAC is very fast. get in throw a 5 hit combination and then get out. Thrown the lead left then slide to the right. HIS STAMINA is incredible so he can keep this up for 12 if DLH doesnt decide to quit. His POWER is not to be ignored if he he keeps landing for ten rounds DLH might decide to keep his pretty face.
DLH's foot speed is mediocre compared to PAC he wont catch him. he might have the stamina to keep trying for ten rounds but that's it.
We wont be able to see it and nobody can prove it otherwise but 29 yr. old PAC beats DLH @147 at any age!! He has the size and power but whats the use if he cant land? :confused:

We are not saying that Pac is like McBride. We just wanted to point out that a guy beat up a Hall of Famer simply because he was passed his prime. Whenever hardcore Pac fans drool over Pac's victory against ODLH and I mention what I already have so many times, they all decide to ignore it and skip it.

Everything in this paragraph is true AT PRESENT TIME. How about right when Oscar was in his prime? Have you seen Oscar's speed, footwork, power, stabbing jab, left hook, straight right, uppercut, etc. vs Quartey, Trinidad, and even Hopkins? just to name a few back in the day when he was in his prime. Everything you said looks good against the present time ODLH. Didn't look as good against JMM though and JMM is not passed his prime.

JMM is a pure counter puncher. DLH is a boxer puncher that bullies smaller opponents. againts Chavez he's perfect. Did you see how much trouble he got from whitaker? he didnt look impressive againts lefties.
He wont solve Pacquiao. Pernell is a defensive wizard. Pac dont just defend. he attacks when the opportunity is there and he hits harder that pernell.

Oscar looked good against Forbes in the fact that he was relaxed and on his toes. He through some good combo's but his power was gone along with his timing.
Actually in my opinion Oscar never looked the same since he came back against Mayorga. He beat Mayorga convincingly yes but he looked so stiff and his upper body movement was almost completely gone.
Pacquiao got a shot Oscar but did exactly what he was supposed to do. He kicked his ass.

I said I gave Oscar a SLIGHT advantage but was not convinced 100% and I also mentioned before the fight how he fought a journeyman with no punching power and still got hurt and couldn't knock that small guy down so facing Pac would be a bigger threat because he obviously punched harder than Forbes and simply offered more. In conclusion, I was not sure of the outcome. I did root for Oscar.
Also, when Oscar beat Julio Cesar Chavez, I didn't drool for that victory. I knew JC Chavez was passed his prime, old, worned out, etc. I would have if he won against Chavez at least 5 years before. Now that would be quite something. So I don't understand why hardcore Pac fans drool over Pac's victory if even Pac and his team acknowledged that Oscar didn't have it anymore, was passed his prime, was old, worned out, etc. And not only that but Oscar ended up weighting even less than Pac! In a weight he didn't fight since 2001.
