Re: "Pretty Boy" vs JMM is done and will be officially announced tomorrow
OH MAN! So many people told me this fight would never get made when I mentioned it to them. I'm happy I get to rub it in their face but I don't think Marquez gets a win here.

3) Will Hatton Mayweather be any different a second time around if Hatton pulls off a victory of Pac
1) P4P, if Manny beats Hatton and Marquez beats Floyd, they should just have a dual best fighter in the world. I'm pulling for Marquez but I think Floyd will be too good.
2) I would give Floyd all the credit in the world, but people will still judge him for not fighting "real" welterweights. All the best fighters will have their haters.
3) Absolutely not, Floyd beats him any time they meet in the ring. Maybe darts?

I see Mayweather winning with the jab, he has such a great jab like when he used to use it, and he has always had a great left hook, but now he also has an amazing cross to boot.
Polar opposites in career points,Marquez just now coming up in Lt weight wars,at what...,35,he will not be afforded the 'counter puncher 'role. Will have to press Allll night.Mayweather has been very well rested, preserved and calculated for this comeback moment. All props to Mayweather and I love Marquez and respect him to death........But I think Floyd might just knock him out!A bridge 2 far at this pint for JMM Imo.But yeah,I hope not

The interesting caveat here is, Floyd's not a real welterweight himself so I dont really put any reverence into the whole Floyd hasnt fought or wont fight a real welterweight...

1) P4P #1 in my opinion. However, it will be open to some debate until he and Pac meet for a P4P showdown.
2) PBF's legacy is already better than Jones, Calzaghe, or Hopkins. It's comprable to Pac's, though I'd give Pac the edge, especially if he beats Hatton.
3) Hatton will be beaten by Mayweather every time they fight until PBF's skills begin to seriously erode.

Floyd never fought Tszyu
But he moved up to eventually fight Tszyu.
To say that Mayweather didn't belong above 135 like Marquez isn't true though. He said after his fight with Ndou that he felt drained which is why he didn't move his feet much and even at 135 he always had a bigger frame then nearly all his opponents and like you well kno Taeth his arm length is well beyond that of a natural lightweight's.

How so? If you break down Floyds resume its better, given age and quality of opponent...

I disagree, though it is close - like I said, I wouldn't give it to Pac until he beats Hatton. However, considering where Pac started, where he's gone, and who he has beat I think his resume is better. Barrera x2, Marquez x2, Morales x2, and Hatton, should he beat him, are all very impressive victories, equal to or better than any of Mayweather's. I know Mayweather beat Hatton, but depending on how Pac hypothetically beats him I could very well find Pac's victory more impressive than PBF's given where Pac started.
It's a debatable subject though.

Floyd started at low weights and worked his way up to bro... Did it before pac..
No matter what he beat a younger fresher Hatton by Ko, although he didnt KO Delahoya he fought a comfortable 154 version giving up every advantage weight, gloves, ring size etc..
Manfredy
PrimeCoralles
PrimeCastillo 2X
Judah
PrimeHatton
Prime Jesus Chaves
PrimeCarlos Hernandez
undefeated power punching Philip n'dou
pretty faded Arturo Gatti
Im to tired to look up the rest;D
Pacs only prime superstar fighter on his resume is Barrera and I give him full credit for the demolishon.. he got beat by a Prime Morales, beat a faded Morales, then a shot Morales.. Drew with JMM and got a gift from God in the 2nd fight with JMM

I can't really be bothered to try and defend Pac's resume really, his fans just piss me off too much. However, if not for a judging error, he would hold two wins over a prime JMM, a better fighter than anyone Mayweather has ever faced. He absolutely schooled Barrera, another fighter who will go down as an all-time great. He lost a close UD to Morales, and then proceed to beat him twice (though I can only really give him a lot of credit for the first victory). The best fighters on Pac's resume are simply better, in my opinion, than the best on Mayweathers. I actually think Mayweather is a far superior fighter, but Pac has fought better opposition, albiet losing to and struggling with some, but I prefer that to an unblemished record.
As for where they started, PBF started at what, 130? Pac started at 106 (I believe), and climbing to 140/147 - without being driven there because of weight issues - (and emerging victorious, which my statement was predicated upon) is an amazing accomplishment.

Pac turned pro when he was 16 dont forget and hadnt grown to be a man yet, thats the explanation for starting at 106.. 40lbs of weight gain by the time your 30 isint that out of the ordinary.. especially for an athlete
Floyd turned pro at 19 and has a 1 and a half in height advantage...I would say there body mass is almost idenical..
Re: "Pretty Boy" vs JMM is done and will be officially announced tomorrow
To try and turn this thread back to its original purpose, I think that Mayweather - provided the layoff hasn't seriously eroded his skills - will beat and possibly stop JMM.
Re: "Pretty Boy" vs JMM is done and will be officially announced tomorrow
PBF Vs JMM or PBF Vs Pac will be great fights although i would much rather him face Cotto, Mosley, Marg, Williams etc But Mayeather is a clever guy and fighting these lower weight fighters is low risk high reward$$$
