Really?? Who has Haye beaten that is quality competition? Old Jean Mark Mormeck? Enzo Maccarinelli?? Alexander Gurov??? I know Haye loves comparing Wlad to Gurov...but do you think they are similar in style and substance??? Face the facts, David Haye never has fought quality competition, he hasn't fought anything close to a dangerous heavyweight even though Haye himself said he would fight a NAMED opponent and a DANGEROUS opponent in his coming out fight and he fought Monte Barrett who has never been a big name fighter and unless you're Tye Fields or Dominick Guinn/Joe Mesi then he's not all that dangerous as a boxer or a puncher.
The situation isn't reversed and if it was the Haye fans would be calling Wladimir out as being scared of David Haye. Let's face it, minus Setanta and Steve Bunce and minus his British nationality David Haye is a nobody...he's KO'd several guys who couldn't last a second in the heavyweight division and he's fought 2 nobodies at heavyweight. You Haye fans are following David Haye with your hearts and not your minds...he's got upside but not enough to beat either Klitschko. David Haye will get smacked down like a little punk and then retire.
Come on Lyle, why the hell did HBO pull the fight after he pulled out? If he is nothing as you say. Lyle i respect you and your opinions but your becoming very annoying on this subject. Im not the biggest Haye fan as you probably already know, but come on to say he is nothing is stupid, maybe he is nothing in terms of accomplishments at heavyweight. But he has done quite a fine job of marketing himself as the next next big/exciting heavyweight. Front cover of the Ring Magazine, HBO want to be all over him like a rash, interviews with Brian Kenny. Dont worry about the Setanta deal we still have Sky Sports which if you put a comparision with The Usa, Sky Sports is HBO and Setanta is Showtime.
Haye i feel should have a fight against a top ten fighter especially being so long out of the ring now before getting in with the Klits who i think he would never beat in a month of sundays, but come on this is the fight the fans want to see the Tv Companies and basically the whole boxing world.
Re: Who should haye fight if its not the Klitschkos?
HBO has their reasons but I would think they are kicking themselves right now...61,000 fans in attendance, 11 million people watching JUST in Germany and Wladimir dominated the 3rd ranked heavyweight in the world.
David Haye in my opinion is a lot like how Joe Mesi used to be, very hyped, seemingly dangerous, and yet UNTESTED. So I'm sorry if I'm being harsh on David Haye but all of this hype seems very forced and that is making me question everything about David Haye.
"At the end of the day it's all talk" David Haye of all people said that right now, this is all David Haye is
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5f7sKtr9Xus
That's David Haye...all he does is talk, he hasn't fought in a while, he's waiting for the Fall to fight again, and yet he just keeps talking...why not fight somebody??

Yes Lyle Haye is crap.. you've said that a million times already.
Why were the Klits entertaining him then? Why weren't they looking for serious challengers?
Re: Who should haye fight if its not the Klitschkos?
Haye talked himself into business...this is the fight people seem to want, the Klitschko's are businessmen they'll get the fight for the right price.
I just want Haye to fight somebody, anybody....just as long as he stops talking.

Exactly, it's a business, the fight made sense to the KLits, to the majority of boxing fans, to HBO and everyone.
So you shouldn't have any real problem with Haye. It's the Klits fault for not refusing him. ;)
