Theres only one great rapper and nobody can compare....
"Fuck Jay Z". Tupac Shakur.
I gladly co-sign the last comment...
However I cant deny that Biggie was a beast.
I gotp mad love and respect for biggie.
A lyrical genius and he was only 24 when he died.
But I agree FUCK JAY Z... Ether.
Re: JAY-Z - Please educate me fellas
When Tupac said "Fuck Jay Z" he was on one. He said fuck just about everyone and happened to throw Jay Z's name in there. Anyone who says Jay Z is an all time worst, that's just not possible. If anything you might not feel him but no way is he anything less then average.
Btw, he rapped about sellin rocks and stash spots at a fucken Yankees world series game, at this point whatever anyone says it doesn't matter, he's already the most successful rapper ever and success breeds hate. People wouldn't hate Lil Wayne the way they hate Lil Wayne if he didn't happen to be one of the most popular rappers out there. Same goes for Jay Z.

If you believe that, fine. But just in case you actually do, I had to bring this one out.

Jay Z & Lil. Wayne the BEST commercial rappers out there TODAY.
But when pinned against a group of ALL TIME.
Those 2 fall short.
I mean really "Hard Knock Life" what a fucken idiotic song.
Truthfully I'd have Jay Z somewhere around 15-20 all time.
Weezy somewhere like 25-30.
That's real talk...
Re: JAY-Z - Please educate me fellas
I dont see what all the fuss is about with Lil Wayne.
He talks jibberish. Contextually, he's all over the place like ''where can i go with this next...''

You pretty much summed up how I feel about him. I've got quite a few of his tracks, but he does just spout shit.
I can't be bothered to go back & quote other posts, so I'll say -
Amat - Eminem does belong in the ATG discussion. The consistency of his album's is better than Jay-Z imo, he hasn't had a bad one (Jay has). The Eminem Show is by far the best. He goes places lyrically that no one else would. I understand it's not for everybody, but you've gotta respect the talent. (I prefer Jay btw, he's definitely the ATG for me).
Mick - I can only conclude Jay-Z has done something to you personally. An altercation in an LA nightclub maybe? Did he try steal one of your chicks?
Julius Rain - I'm with Amat, if you really believe that :vd:
Ryanman, anyone else who's posted obscure underground acts - I'm not going to deny that a lot of crap gets through & a lot of better stuff is ignored, but you can't generalize all commercial/underground music. There's a reason some stuff is commercially successful & that's because it's good. There's also a reason a lot of stuff stays underground because it's shit. Unless you like everything to sound like it was produced in a dodgy washing machine.
Ono - The HattonTheHomeboy comment has to be one of my favourite ever posted here.

Hattonhammer called me an uneducated wigger by rep comment, and I don't know whether to laugh or cry at Hatton calling me uneducated.
I guess I will have to relisten but I attribute inconsistency with Eminem. I will relisten to the Eminem show in it's entirety one of these bus-rides but I have always thought Marshall Mathers album to be far and away his best. What do you mean by 'going places with his lyrics' do you mean as far as subject matter and content or rhyme schemes/deliveries stuff like that. Just wondering because honestly the subject matter and content turns me off a lot. I guess it's sad to say but I'd rather him just rap about crack :-\ lol jk but honestly, I don't like when rappers like Eminem and Joe Budden get intensely personal.
Have you listened to Budden Merkin? He was a big past favorite of mine and I believe Mood Muzik 2 is one of the ten best albums ever. Yeah it's a mixtape but only in terms of DJ tags and distribution, that was great.

Yeah, I mean subject matter. I like a rapper to be personal & Eminem raps about personal stuff that no other rapper would touch (like being abused as a child). I'm not always a fan of his overly childish songs, which are normally the ones he releases as his first single, but his deep personal tracks are ill.
I quite like Joe Budden. I'm not sure Mood Muzik 2 is one of the 10 best albums ever, but it is damn good. 3 Sides to a Story is one of the best bits of storytelling in a rap song, Nas would be jealous of that one. Although it's a mixtape, I reckon it can be classed as an album because most of the tracks were originally album tracks for The Growth, which got shafted because of his beef with Jay-Z at the time. Have you heard Padded Room, his last album, I've only heard 1 or 2 tracks, but it seemed pretty good.

I atually agree with you amat, I think the Marshall Mathers album is his best work.

Thats not really how it works though. Case in point Spice Girls, Westlife, etc etc etc etc. Popular doesn't equal good. In fact it quite often means the opposite. But its all opinions.
I hear what your saying though that the cream rises to the top, but i prefer another saying - 'scum rises to the top, gold sinks to the bottom'.
