Re: Pacquiao-Mayweather in jeopardy...
Sorry I don't see how this extra blood screening is a bad idea or sign that Mayweather is scared. The blood is a non issue as far as dehydration, that is just ridiculous. They aren't draining pints for him to donate. We are probably talking about 6 mls of blood here.
There is no reason for Pac to decline this testing if Floyd is accepting his demands. If Pac is in fact ducking this drug screening, there is good reason so be suspicious about it, but I will believe it when it is actually out of Pac's mouth or something a little more solid I guess.
Re: Pacquiao-Mayweather in jeopardy...
Oops guess I'm wrong. Pacquiao will go through the blood test, just not during training camp, but before the press conference and after the fight he would do the test.

The NSAC's drug testing procedures have been fine for him in everyone of his fights in Vegas so far, but now all of a sudden he's demanding extended testing?? Nevada has the most stringent drug testing procedures in the country, yet they are not good enough for the Mayweathers.
Smells to me like the man is scared of something.
Whether he agrees to them or not, first blood to Pacman. Mayweather is blinking before the contract is even signed.
And before anybody says that Pac is scared because of the weight clause, is it unreasonable for a boxer to expect his opponent to be on weight?
But is it unreasonable for a boxer to expect his opponent to subject himself to drug testing procedures that he's never had to before, by an organisation that have proven unreliable in the past?
I have to side with Mayweather here. I mean what is the loss to Pacquiao if he subjects himself to the test? Is he going to be extra fatigued for the fight or what?
Make no mistake about it, this is THE defining fight of our generation it's the best offense against the best defense. Two fighters in their prime p4p #1 against the former p4p #1.
There is good cause to take extra steps to make sure the playing field is level. I know it's cool and common to hate on Mayweather, but he is not being unreasonable on this point.
I'll side with Manny over this one. Manny has already agreed for the drug testing before the initial press conference and after the fight. If there are drugs in his system it would not magically disappear after the fight date itself.
Manny does have a phobia of needles. Any one of us here that does have a phobia would not be happy if you are force to do something that you don't want to do. The olympic style testing will subject you to a random blood test of 3-5 times and 11 urine test. So if you have a phobia with needles you would always be worried when would the next blood test will occur and it would affect you mentally as you prepare for the fight.
Again, Manny agreed on 2 blood test. Before the initial press conference and after the fight itself. Isn't this good enough? Surely if there are drugs in his system it would be found by the blood sample he will submit after the fight.

What's the difference in time then? As for others phobias of needles surely they would overcome that for 40 million dollars.
Re: Pacquiao-Mayweather in jeopardy...
If Manny has a phobia of needles, one he can't get over for $25m, how the fuck did he manage to get all those tattoos??
Re: Pacquiao-Mayweather in jeopardy...
funny how pacquiao fans try to spin his refusal to take a simple blood test. you can spin it all you want but the fact is this, take this stupid drug test if you don't have anything to hide. simple as that! and if you decide you don't want the fight because of a simple little blood test, you are going to be labeled a fraud!

how can a god not even win a congressional seat? don't be stupid. lol

The difference in time is the 3 remaining blood test. Its between training camp and fight night itself. Phobias can be overcome surely for 40 million. But the point is there is nothing that they are going to find 24 hours before the fight that they cannot find five minutes after the fight.
Re: Pacquiao-Mayweather in jeopardy...
Why has Floyd never raised this with any previous opponents?
This is gamesmanship and bullshit. If Pac was juicing surely to fuck he'd have been found out by now.
The Mayweathers are playing mind games - lets not forget it was them who leaked this to the press so they can claim the moral high ground if the fight goes belly up. Frankly if I was Pac I'd say 'fuck you'. I'd comply with the NSAC drug tests and say bollocks to the Mayweathers.
Floyd needs the money more than Pac IMO;D

Good than you agree there is no issue other than divaism then. I'm not saying Mayweather isn't a diva too, but on this point I don't see any valid reason to NOT change the drug test time.

How many other opponents have required 10 million per pound?
The fact remains at this point neither guy can make even close to the same amount fighting anyone else.

Not really, with any high quality steroid, he could easily take it after the press conference it would make an impact on his performance, and it could out of the system by the time the fight took place, but he would still benefit from the enhancements produced by taking said steroids.
And people are talking about Manny being superstituous about changing up his routine, but he has changed where he has trained for fights, he has not even fully prepared for fights like against Jorge Solis or Oscar Larios. He has added Alex as a conditioning coach.
Re: Pacquiao-Mayweather in jeopardy...
Both acting the diva well aware of their stature.Honestly I wont lose sleep missing this fight....whats the undercard....?
Re: Pacquiao-Mayweather in jeopardy...
Am i the only one who finds it suspicious that he will accept one just before the fight and after the fight but not 30 days? Anyone heard of cycling steroids? If you stop in just the right amount of time it will not show up on a blood test.
