Damn, I missed this one. I'm glad Johnson got the win, he's like an old battle horse that simply refuses to be put out in the fields.
Hey Guys,
Just a shout all and thanks for all the support, don't want to start making excuses but Yusaf injured his shoulder in the 2nd round and couldn't keep Johnson off, in a final ditch of desperation he switched southpaw in the 6th as he couldn't keep the arm up, but Johnson has fought a lot of world class southpaws and punished him for it. Take my hat off to Johnson he is one tough motha, hope you all still enjoyed the fight, Yusaf will be booked in for surgery when he gets back to Philly tomorrow, the ringside doctor indicated there is serious damage to the shoulder and he may now be out for sometime. Thanks you guys again for all the love.
It's fellas not mates though ;D
I thought he did some great work, it was a really good competitive fight up until the 6th. It's a shame when you think about Henry going into the easier fight with Garay. Mack really gave it his best, we were watching it on the chat and after the 1st KD I said he just needed to make it through the round, but I felt it was opening up to fight and the 2nd KD that finished it, he showed great heart to get up from that. Wish him the best, and from my perspective there's absolutely no shame in losing to Glen Johnson, who for me should be a future hall of famer, but probably won't be because of his record. Hope that he can pick himself and get another chance that his talent deserves.Quote:

I'm happy Johnson won as well, he's just an out and out good fella. I can see the fight vs Cloud going much the same way unless Cloud has more power or is more effective with his power.
That being said Cloud-Mack is a fight of the year waiting to happen!
Hey John,
I haven't seen the fight yet, but it sounds like Mack gave a good account of himself, regardless of the injury. He'll be back challenging for a title shot again and we'll still be cheering him on. Good luck in the future and hopefully the surgery goes fine.
I have to say injuring the shoulder is a career threatening injury and it is very hard to come back from that. One of my favorite fighters Dean Francis is a good example.
