Montiel is an exceptionally underrated fighter.The man is p4p material and is on a clear tear of momentum.He's retained his top notch speed at Bantam and glad Morel fell through after all.Donaire was peak and prime off Darchinnyone victory but then again so was Joseph Agbeko.He has stymied a bit in challenge faced and while I like his ability I think Montiel too deep for him in this one.
Its funny, Donaire has done nothing?....

Well Darchinyan was the man then when Nonito give him first loss at 112 title and that was last best opposition he got, Right now Montiel wants Darchinyan although he holds 115 title, now he's is fighting at 118 same weight class with Montiel.
Sounds like Montiel is about to become my favourite fighter.
It will be great when he destroys Donaire inside 6 rounds and sends him from his lofty (and completely undeserved) top 5 p4p perch into total obscurity the way that Darchinyan did to that other ridiculous hype job Christian Mijares.
Bilbs, Nonito has height / reach advantage and he aint never been drop he's whole career. You expect Montiel to take him out in 6? Did you see Montiel vs Valdez, just a few fights ago? Valdez had a lot of success and he made Montiel turn away from a scrap.
I know you're not big on him but Nonito is foreal unlike Mijares, Nonito outbox and ko'd Vic in 5. Cant really fault him for the lack of competitions, since. Shady things in boxing happens. Hopefully this fight does get made.
What would you say if nonito beats montiel? he'll have wins over both the other good fighters. He's actually just a win away from winning you're respect ;D

Montiel already beat Hasegawa. Who's a much better fighter than Donaire. Nonito might take the first couple of rounds/ But that's be design. Montiel will bide his time and than proceed to punish Donaire. I don't think he'll stop him. But that's cuz I think Donaire will quit before he gets KO'ed. That is if he even takes the fightQuote:

well he rebounded quite nicely from that fight (which he was fighting with a nasty gash over his eye) and then KO'd Hasegawa and he went over to Japan to do so, his destruction of Concepcion pretty much shows that the Valdez fight was a off night nothing elseQuote:
