Re: Post a pic of your local
Yes very impressive views Andre - sort of things us Brits get when....oh no hang on we don't
so if I visit Texas is this place worth visiting. Just google earthed that street and it looks cool. Howvere if its full of students I will hate it ! Never understood why people hated bars with students in when I was a student. As soon as I finished uni I realised ;D
is anyone from Texas by the way ? Might PM them. I have been charged with planning a trip later this year but jesus by looks of everything we re going to need a month. Not sure what posible in 14-16 days (without driving the length of England every day )

Depending upon what you would like to see in the US, a month won't do. That would barely cover the east coast, unless you plan on a whirl wind tour of half days here and there.
Re: Post a pic of your local
no mate just want to do Texas and bit of New Mexico then Memphis and New Orleans (maybe)
Like to have a few days just to chill too in middle and at end.

Do you plan to fly or drive?
Reason I ask. is Texas is lower mid west, New Mexico is more to west, Memphis is east coast as is New Orleans. Lota miles to drive if your not used to it.
Re: Post a pic of your local
drive round texas and new mexico
then fly memphis (maybe not time to do new orleans)
done east coast and west coast
Re: Post a pic of your local

Mark TKO,
College Station is a good town and if your trip coincided with a home Texas A&M football game I think it would be worth making a stop. Outside of that though you'd be better off spending time in Austin, Galveston, San Antonio and Dallas/Fort Worth. Let me know the time frame you'd be in Texas and I can tell you some things to check out.
Re: Post a pic of your local
I will get a picture of the bars I go to. Just run of the mill dives. I go 3-4 nights a week at least to stop in for a brew after work.
I don't have a camera on my phone that works.
They are almost always dead, and I can count the times on one hand that hot girls where there. I have come to the realization, however, that I prefer these dead bars playing the same music, over any place kicking with hotties and rap music. "We play both kinds of music: country AND western."
But, something to be said for a place that lets you run a tab for weeks and pay with a check. $2 beers.
I am grateful we still have bars around and you can smoke in them. YAH (Although I don't smoke, I firmly believe you should be in a smoke filled place if you are going ot do some sinnin') The closest bar is too far to ride a horse, so I wish we had some a little closer (I guess that's why I built a private party shack in my yard).
