Hamed was fun while he boxed old men and second raters , he had become totally relient on his power when he boxed MAB , a combination of the wrong trainers and the fact he had fought to many second rate fighters , any of the durable greats would have beaten that Hamed.
His leaping angles he gave in early fights were all but gone , he became a one paced power puncher with no defence.
wtf??? this is making as much sense as your drinking style, which relies heavily upon finding the cheapest bilge water available and hyping it at luncheons as being top-notch brew.

to be honest man i dont really understand it
are you saying hamed was special and then went shit? or are you saying he was never that good coz he always fought old timers? by 'that hamed' do you mean just the one that fought mab or the one that fought old timers?
so if any of the durable greats could have beaten the hamed that fought old timers and all hamed ever fought was old timers then any of the durable greats could have beaten hamed at any time in his career and 'that hamed' was the only hamed that ever was.
But hang on..... you suggest he used to have skills coz the leaping angles that had gone must have been once there
nope sorry dont get it :)
Re: P4P who was better: Nasem Hamed or Ricky Hatton?
there now erics44 is onto what i am saying. guess dark lord al didnt get it once and maybe wont get it twice. exactly erics44, you nailed it, i dont get it either.
Re: P4P who was better: Nasem Hamed or Ricky Hatton?
Hamed over all had 1 punch power and his speed was amazing not to mention the ability to hit at all angles...Both had horrible defense but Naseem had the athletic ability to pull himself out of things and most of his knockdowns were due to poor balance

Ok im saying Hamed looked good and was fun to watch when he fought older fighters past their best or fighters just below the top so to speak.
As i stated , by the time he fought MAB , he was totally relient on power , gone were his angles and jack in a box unpredictability.
Any of the great fighters such as Nelson , Morales , etc , who could take his power , would school him.
His lack of angles also made him pretty easy to hit as MAB showed.
I hope this clears it up.
Please feel free to disagree , let me hear your thoughts guys n gals.
Re: P4P who was better: Nasem Hamed or Ricky Hatton?
Manny Steward says Morales was made for Naz. Too upright, too willing to trade. He wanted that fight instead of Barrera.
He also says Naz only lost to Barrera because he didn't train properly or respect him. I'm not sure that's true, however the "Little Prince" film showed Naz had completely lost the plot and clearly didn't give Barrera any respect.
I blame Allah. Naz put too much faith in that dude...
Re: P4P who was better: Nasem Hamed or Ricky Hatton?
lack of angles? if anything his ridiculously exaggerated angles made him look so buffoonish, so clownish and amateurish, that he'd have fared better had he simply held his ground and fought punch for punch with MAB. Who wanted to watch a balleting horse there, in the ring that night, making a donkey of himself? Quite like Merchant made of DLA in the 1st 2 rounds of their hypothetical fight last autumn in Yorkshire.

Hamed gave much more angles in his early career , he had alot of success with that tactic.
Maybe you havent seen all of Hamed's fights.
Re: P4P who was better: Nasem Hamed or Ricky Hatton?
yes Im saying precisely what youre saying, that Hamed at the beginning of his career gave much more and better angles than he did in that fight with MAB.
Re: P4P who was better: Nasem Hamed or Ricky Hatton?
Don't really know. Probably Hatton although Hamed was probably the more naturally gifted. Hatton just had a will to win that Hamed didn't.
Also I couldn't stand Hamed and when ODLH was at Lightweight I always wanted him to come back down a weight and let Hamed come upto superfeather and watch Oscar rip Hamed a new one. Unfortunately (for me) that never happened but I enjoyed Barrera doing the job for me a few years later. Just wished Hamed had tried picking on Morales too. Although I think Barrera was slightly better than Morales, I think Erik was the bigger puncher and would have put Naseem to sleep.
Oh well maybe he'll challenge the winner of Haye-Wlad now he's at HW and they can do that for me. ;D

In plain English would be fine , not the authentic frontier jibberish you seem to think is acceptable.
