Re: Lemiuex v. Rubio This Friday
I can understand the corner stepping in, he didn't really understand how to survive, he's young, he'll come back.

It wasn't necessarily a stupid stoppage, I just thought it was very premature, especially given that his corner stopped it.

He needs to learn how to box if he's ever going to be successful at a high level. I thought he'd beat Rubio, but Lemieux is so wild that I figured any decent counter-punch would beat him.

I took Lemieux to win as well, Rubio gets lazy early on, I didn't think he would have stood up to the initial assault, but he proved me (and most) wrong.
Re: Lemiuex v. Rubio This Friday
I told ya'll Rubio was not just going to fall down. He took Lemieux into deep waters and Lemieux could not swim.
Lemieux started looking frustrated from the second round on.

As soon as he realized he wasn't going to hurt Rubio with one punch he had no idea what to do.

Yeah he just could not find a comfortable range either. He was looping his punches more than he ever has. He is an example of a fighter falling in love with their power. He was loading up instead of making things happen. Rubio, just sat back, weathered his storms and waiting for Lemieux's fire to settle a tiny bit. He then started opening up. Once Lemieux started backing up, he was already done.

I agree 100%. Lemiuex's punches were just ridiculously wild at times. He really needs to settle down in there.

They fed Lemieux too many softies early. They placed him against Rubio, who i always considered underrated. He is a crafty Vet and knows how to fight. As you said Lemieux simply grew frustrated, got wild and ran out of gas. He could rebound well from this. I hope so because he is an exciting fighter.
