Anyways any PAC fight that PAC wins is a success for me;D
Yes he hurt him , but also got a fighter with more wear and tear and another year older Pac feasted on another portion of PBF left overs. So PBF will eat Ortiz and Perhaps Manny will take a place in the buffet line.
Dinner was served $55.00 for crap compliments of Arum & Pac. Thank goodness for the litlte Mexican troll sideorder that saved the meal

One knockdown doesn't equal a complete destruction, I'm sorry. They stunk out the arena (largely Mosley)

I think a lot of us probably streamed it. Now if anyone who paid 50 plus dollars to watch that was satisfied, then I would be quite surprised. It was lame. And that is why we have to blame the matchmakers and Manny Pac himself.
We all saw Mosleys recent performances. Heck, the touching gloves alone took up about 2 minutes of a 36 minute bout. Mosley threw 260 punches over 12, he threw 750 plus against Cotto. He didn't land a single meaningful power shot.
He didn't come to fight. Sure, the KD might have taken his legs, but after that round he was fighting as he was before. There was no noticeable difference, it was tentative, jab, step, jab, step. That is all we saw.
It isn't about blood and gladiators, but at least doing your best to win the rounds and not settling to just see it through. Mosley made a lot of money from this fight and that came from people wanting to be entertained. I love the guy and think he is a legend, but he stank out the joint with this showing.

Yeah, Mosley is to blame for not fighting. But at the same time Pac, Roach and Arum deserve to roast in the fiery cauldrons of hell for once again making a fight with someone who hasn't really earned it. The evidence was there for us all to see, but they made the fight regardless. Arum still regards this fight as a success, hopefully he will expire soon.
I disagree. He looked like he wanted to win before he go dropped, his head was clear but check out his legs. He was wary of that straight hand and fair enough, he could have done more but what he should stand there and look to get stopped because armchair warriors didn't see blood. Tough shit.
I feel the same way. Mosley was for sure looking to win until he got dropped and hurt. Just like Cotto was looking to win until he got dropped and hurt. It's easy to say how one should fight Pacquiao from the safety of one's couch and not inside that ring fighting him.
If I was Mosley I would do the same thing and just go into survival mode instead of being like Hatton, laid out with doctors rushing in to the ring.
So, you are in favour of more crappy matchmaking and fighters just calling it a night after getting dropped? It isn't about what you would do, it is about what wealthy sportstars are expected to do.....perform to the best of their abilities for a paying public. What happened to trying to knock the other man down as a response or of winning further rounds to even up the fight? He didn't really attempt to do either with zero power punches and 20 jabs a round.
Many of those people in armchairs paid 50 plus dollars to see a 'fight' and to be entertained. They were given neither.

Yeah but you ain't one of those armchair people paying for it right? You streamed it, so what are you complaining?;)
And yes it's pretty easy to talk about how Mosley should fight Pac, because you ain't in the ring fighting him.
Re: Was Paquiao/Mosley a success?
Horrible fights, but anytime you have that many fans and celebs gather for anything it's probably a finacial success. And by the match ups now a days that's the ultimate goal, so i'd lean more towards yes.

I mean who elswww.acs-computer.come should he have fought? What could he really have done given the way Shane was trying to go the distance?
Now was it a great night for the sport? Hell the Vasquez-Arce fight was an excellent fight and the Pavlik fight was two competent if unexciting guys. So it was a decent card anyway I thought.
Certainly not a Don King card from the early 1990's, but waddya gonna do?
Scratching head lol....really? Simply put he should have never scheduled a fight against a washed up fighter. He has to take the good with the bad and this match was horrible ! Everyone that knows boxing knew it was a bad match and Pac now has to live with the bad responses.
The same way Mayweather did (if in fact he did). I personally was completely wrong. I thought Mosley had something left in the tank against Mayweather, but Mayweather was just so good Mosley couldn't get off, but against Pacquiao, Mosley would be able to get off and maybe even stun Pacquiao. I was completely wrong.
Re: Was Paquiao/Mosley a success?
For Team Pacquaio, Team Mosley and Bob Arum, this has been a huge financial success.
For those who paid to watch the fight, it's a matter of perception. It's a success for some Pacquiao fans just seeing him win.
For the fans who are looking to see a bloodfest or an exciting fight, I would think that this isn't a success for them. In this regard, it's not a success for me either. But they are likely to watch another Pacquiao fight because Manny is not the one who stunk the bout.

The only way for it to be a success was for the fight to be an entertaining one. Either Manny wins convincingly or else Mosley puts up a solid showing to counter it, either way it needs to be a fight where two guys are looking to try to win. On that count this was a big fail. I think Clottey might have hurt Manny more than Shane did tonight. :-\
It was just a very poor fight and when you put it into the context of the fight before....well it just looks even worse. Vasquez/Arce was awesome. The easy winner of the evening.
Yep it was like a semi exhibition fight where two friends get in the ring,(similar to how Liega Kostya looked) either Manny took it easy or Shane dissolved his power better than all of the other men Manny has messed up.
:D Maybe Floyd a good shot if he makes friends with him first.

Floyd style can go on for years.
It appears to me that Manny is on the decline and the only fight left for him is with Floyd. Pacquiao does not belong in the same weight division as Marquez or Martinez. So who else is out there?
I hope that Mayweather is as confident as you. This is his chance to come out of vacaton and call out Manny. It will not be the other way around since Manny has not called out anyone.
Re: Was Paquiao/Mosley a success?
If Mayweather comes back and beats Pac while he get credit because after tonight i think Pac is slowing. Just say this because Mayweather gets shit more so then even Pac so i am not sure.

Whoever wins, whether it's Pacquiao or Mayweather, should have all the credit in the world. Even if Manny appears to be slowing down, Floyd is also aging. There should be no excuses such as long lay off or a bad leg.
But I do believe that the ball is now in Floyd's court since he is the reason the last negotiation failed.
