I think the banana that is bent over has its hands tied behind its back and his mate is trying to help it by sawing the rope.
re: Favourite Martial Arts Film
Surprised no one has mentioned Karate Kid, the old one that was a good film at the time. Wax on, Wax off.
re: Favourite Martial Arts Film
re: Favourite Martial Arts Film
Watched Karate Kid when I was a kid. Made me feel that I can beat up anybody using the techniques that I saw in that movie and I'm not pertaining to that wax on / wax off thing.
Kung Fu Hustle is hilarious.
re: Favourite Martial Arts Film
My Favorites.. (that haven't been mentioned)
Action:
Just about anything with Donnie Yen, Jet Li, and the Late Bruce Lee is solid.
Iron Monkey
IP Man 1 and 2
Kickboxer (Van Damme vs the Tree - EPIC)
Fearless
Karate Kid 2 is wayyyy better than the first...FACT
Comedy:
Kung Pow
Drama:
House of Flying Daggers (even though it was already mentioned) LOVE IT!!!
WORST:
Bloodsport 2+
Kickboxer 2+
re: Favourite Martial Arts Film
I want to watch IP Man did not realise there was a number 2.

re: Favourite Martial Arts Film
I almost forgot about an early Jackie Chan movie, Snake in the Eagle's Shadow. I was very young when my dad brought me to watch this movie. One of his best movie.

It appears like someone posted this movie in parts at youtube so anyone interested may be able to watch the full movie in there.
re: Favourite Martial Arts Film
In no particular order:
Best of the best 1
Kickboxer 1
The Way of the Dragon
Beautiful (Argueably has one of the top 3 fight scences ever)
Shaolin Temple
Drunken Master
Brotherhood of the Wolf (Vastly underated)
re: Favourite Martial Arts Film
All things Bruce Lee. (not Bruce Li Lo or any other variation)
It was Enter the Dragon which was the catalyst for me getting into boxing. Thanks Bruce, you were deffo the man. RIP.
