You saw in that fight a guy that likes a slugfest?
Frank 'Gatti' Bruno ;D

I don't even think Bruno was that good, but I'd pick him to beat every HW since 2004 except Vitali.
Frank was an aggressive boxer...a little tight in the shoulders, kind of like Rahman in his physical build a medium height guy with arms seemingly down to the floor...GREAT long reach, but he loaded up on punches a lot and didn't have the best stamina. Sometimes he'd be so aggressive he would smother his attack and get too close which is where Tyson caught him. He had no clue what to do when hurt, he couldn't hold on, he couldn't push off and circle out....and he would seemingly stay hurt for a long time as well, usually because once dazed he'd allow in another shot or two that kept him dazed.
Just not feeling the love for this slow, chiney, overrated one punch poney,
WTF every time he moved up in class he got hammered very badly, 4 shots at the title is a joke for a journeyman fighter , the only reason he got them were his promotional contacts
certainly not on his ability. He was shit end of story , nice guy though;D.
A bit harsh but true, however in this era he would have been a champion and taken out all dometic competition like Haye, Fury and Price, never mind the Williams, Sprott, and Skelton. Also he would have given Wlad a scare and Vitali is just as robotic as Bruno was.

This above clip is a testament to how good Bruno's chin was.....he could certainly take a shot and come back from adversity...I bow to you Sir Bruno
Job Biscuit (Listening to Jet)!!!!
eh eh!!!
Bruno was ok fighter nothing really special about him i mean he had power. But what top fighter did he beat really i don't think he is much better then the crop we have now.
I was glad for Big Frank that night.
He wasn't the best fighter, but he stuck at it & eventually achieved his goal.
He's a really nice guy & a credit to boxing.
I still have a McDonalds receipt that he signed for me in 1993, when I saw him in McDonalds in Hornchurch, with his wife & daughter.;D
Frank Bruno was that era's Hasim Rahman....big power, trouble with stamina, trouble when hurt, decent skill, never fully realized his potential, and only had the title for a tiny bit of time...that said, Rahman lit Lennox Lewis the fuck up with that right cross! (granted the favor was returned dramatically), but Bruno just won a decision vs Oliver McCall....hardly a dramatic win. You may be within reason to compare Bruno to Sam Peter even.
Let's be serious, Frank is a favorite because he's English...people like him the way they like all your other flawed sports stars, he's not the greatest, but he's someone you Brits can relate to.
